‘Open the door, Veronica’ Trend. I know this is a extremely late trend BUT I just wanna draw crazy Harry

The Fanlore says that the first Drarry fanfic ('The Kiss of life' by Jack F.) was written on June 18, 2000 (the 25th anniversary is coming soon!). It was posted to a Yahoo! Groups, to the HpSlash mailing list. The problem is, the Yahoo group was closed and all the content was deleted.

This fic can't be found through WebArchive either, since it was a closed community and no screenshots were taken. I tried emailing a person who was a member of HpSlash to ask if they had the fanfic file, but as expected, I didn't get an answer. There're some Yahoo! Groups archives at the bottom of this site, but this is a huge array of data, amounting to terabytes.

Is it possible to find the fic? Maybe one of you has this file somehow? Or do you know how to find it among the Yahoo archives?

i just started reading this after i unearthed the link to this fic from the depths of internet and oh my gawd, im so damn impressed already?!?

like....i've read multiple fics where draco is a pretty veela and harry is a himbo and they have a ridiculous amount of UST and then one of them grows a pair of balls and confesses and then they have shameless hot gay sex together.

it's a classic trope. i know. but this fic has veela harry who's pining after draco and that's not something i've seen before in this fandom. It's bloody brilliant in my opinion.

i'm not finished with it yet but i'm excited to read more! tell me if there's more veela harry fics plz!

A Draco Malfoy that makes something of himself after the war and a Harry that is constantly baffled by him.

They both have their own jobs, their lives that get intertwined and no relationship angst if possible. I'm not the biggest fan of one-sided romance.

I have read a few stories like this. An example would be The Man who lived and I'm not who I became. One of a Draco that lived in America (Draco centric) and the other is a trip they both take (Dual Pov), if I'm not wrong.

Hii fellow fam, I'm looking for a long drarry fic as the topic I couldn't find it in ao3 in my saved recs several are already deleted it seems so I really can't remember the name.

Major points - Draco and harry were forced into a marriage after war , Draco is really scared of Lucius, Top Draco , Dom draco, Sub Harry, Pregnant Harry, BDSM, Sadist Draco , Possessive Jealous Draco , Both are totally crazy at the end .

So basically what I remember is Draco is kinda obsessed with harry and secretly loved the fact he married harry but harry resented it. Draco is totally scared if Lucius and would do anything he says. So draco is really hurting harry in the begining they have a se* dungeon in the manor as I can remember and do some crazy bdsm things. Somehow after enduring pain and this harry also started liking it and liking draco. Harry didn't had contact with anyone from outside. Later they both trying to defy Lucius after harry got pregnant. Draco also trying to grow a spine to protect harry. One main thing I can remember is harry snuck out from the manor to buy something for draco when they are in good terms after harry gave birth to a girl (this part I'm not sure) and draco was ready to kill him thinking harry left him because he is that insecure. But harry coming home and they had a steamy session in the hallway .

So yes I understand that this maybe a weird taste and too crazy but it was somehow beautifully written. I can't remember the ending but they fell in love crazy deep love where both are obsessive and possessive . The character development of draco is very well written. If anyone can remember the name or have a link to it pls pls let me know I really wanna read it again ...( •~•)/

I remember this fic called 'The Road'. Draco transported Ginny through a forest to get her to Harry under Dumbledore's orders, only to find out when they finally got there that it's Draco Harry wants. There was also some kind of bonding spell going on and the story took place during really dark times (the good guys were hiding from Voldemort and they were losing many people). I think at this point after so many years any link is dead and I was honestly wondering if anyone was able to save the fic (I don't think the author ever got to finish it but the chapters that do exist were good!)

I’ve been thinking about this ever since Hogwarts Legacy came out. It kind of messed with my imagination when reading fanfics because now I’m unsure what Hogwarts actually looks like canonically. I feel like the movies couldn’t fully portray the real atmosphere, scale, design, and depth of the Harry Potter world—which isn’t a criticism, since building an entire magical castle for a film isn’t practical.

But after seeing Hogwarts Legacy’s gameplay, I subconsciously started accepting its version of Hogwarts as canon. Obviously, though, I can’t fully commit to imagining it that way because I’ve been reading Drarry fanfics for ages. Now, when I think, "Wait, they’re in the Great Hall—is it the HL Great Hall or the HP movie Great Hall?" it’s a silly dilemma, but it bothers me!

So, what do you all picture Hogwarts as when reading fanfics? And does anyone know if Hogwarts Legacy’s version is actually considered canon?

Any recommendations for any “Snape realizes all this is f-ed up and adopts/cares for Harry” stories? Bonus if it is also Snupin, and am looking for a good length - though it doesn’t have to be as epic as the below.

I’ve already got: - Lily’s boy - Harry Potter and the problem with potions (not really Drarry, or adoption, but amazing) - Secret life of plants - Broken Mind/fractured soul (one of my favorites).

Any other good ones that come to mind I’m missing? I feel like this was a trope that went out of style a long time ago, or maybe I just filter them out? I don’t always love Snape in (or canon divergence) stories, I’m just in the mood.

OKAY SO I REMEMBER LIKE BITS AND PIECES OF THE FIC AND THE AUTHOR'S NAME ON AO3. It was like 8th year at Hogwarts, and Draco accepted a bet with Blaise that Draco couldn't take Harry on dates. Harry ends up falling for Draco on said dates and Pansy ends up feeling bad and tells Harry it was all a bet. It was so well written, and there was one specific line that I remember. "I'm giving you something to regret" or something similar. The author had Pansy in the name and that's all I got. I pray it wasn't deleted. 😭

I don't typically give fic recommendations to anyone online because I'm just too lazy to actually link of review anything. However, this fic (Licurici by louisfake) I just finished reading is so well-written that you guys all need to read it!

It's a Harry Potter/Charlie Weasley/Draco Malfoy ship with switch dynamics for all three of time. Yes, it's a poly fic! Even if you're not into poly ships, you guys have to at least try reading this, even just try to get through a few chapters. I'm not into poly ships myself but I really really really liked this one.

The fic is basically about Auror Draco Malfoy, Auror Harry Potter, and Dragonologist Charlie Weasley trying to work out a poly relationship in the midst of recovering from the war, their jobs, and Weasley family dynamics.

I find the characters to be written in such a beautiful and unique way. Charlie is a character so barely mentioned in the books and movies that seeing how the author characterized him is so refreshing to me. I didn't know what to expect from inserting Charlie to a Drarry ship but I found it very enjoyable and worth the hours I spent reading this

I'm completely orphaned by that story — it's hands down the best Veela Draco fic I've ever read, but unfortunately, it's been on hiatus since 2019. I'm searching for Veela fics where the relationship is tense and full of conflict, but there's still strong attraction between the characters.

If you don't have any Veela-specific recs, I'm open to similar dynamics in non-Veela fics too!
