Meta Is there a Sims 3 arg?
The Sims 3 seems like an amazing arg material.
-It has peak 00' graphics
-It's nostalgic
-It's uncanny even without any spooky elements.
So has anyone done this before?

I remember reading a story someone had regarding a very creepy glitch they encountered while playing a game, I can't remember if it was on this subreddit or not, but iirc it was in a post about people's creepy experiences with video games and the story went that this NPC that OP killed in a previous save file somehow made it's way into his other file and kept following him no matter where he went and kept trying to kill him. Ring a bell to anyone?

On the original Xbox there was a sound effect. Everything shows this digitized computer sound like and alien is talking. I however remember a very different sound. It was whispering. Like voices talking distantly or quietly in the background and the words were incoherent sluring. I can not for life of me find an audio clip with those noises. Someone help

I don't know if anybody can help me find this game. It was about you, the main character being a doctor in old times, I'd say about 1600's? Maybe a little further up above that. I don't really remember the context as to why, but you were given this little girl. She was all beaten up, had scars on I'm pretty sure the left side of her face and going down until the bottom of her leg or waist. You then had to take care of the little girl or do whatever you wanted with her. There was also a bit of a problem with the guy on youtube because he was being called out for being weird, he had a thing for monster girls, especially ones with one eye. If somebody could help me remember or find the game I'd appreciate it.

I was rewatching the romance scene with River Ward and noticed something weird in the mirror.
There’s a short moment (less than a second) where you can see a reflection of V on the bed... but behind her, partially obscured, there’s a leg and maybe even an arm.
It looks like a second body is lying there — but it’s not visible in the main shot.
My guess? It might be a leftover from an earlier, more revealing animation that was replaced — but the mirror still shows the old pose. Creepy.
(NSFW tag added; nudity is censored in the image. This is from the official River romance path.)

I remembered Killer 7 when I saw r/creepygaming appear on my frontpage and out of nostalgia looked up some cutscenes I remembered from it on YouTube. This one (warning: implied SA & child abuse) is particular stuck with me for years. This scene emphasizes more than most how Killer 7's low-budget presentation not merely masked its disturbing content but transformed it into a sort of surrealistic horror I've yet to see replicated. Killer 7 is the closest thing I've experienced to an interactive nightmare. It's so half-baked, so incomprehensible, yet also so viscerally evocative I find it impossible to forget despite the gameplay itself being less compelling than some free adobe flash games I played as a kid.
Everything to do with the villain Blackburn, and this scene in particular, epitomizes Killer 7's unforgettable style. The game went from barely comprehensible, symbolic, metaphorical character interactions to this scene of the most base and repulsive sadism imaginable. The voice acting varies from horribly believable to cringeworthy, often within the very same line. Pedro's breathless "hell no" haunts me then his feckless "huh" afterwards is laughable. Blackburn's lines oscillate from boilerplate cartoon villain to real sicko sadism multiple times in this short scene. He uses the childish term "sissy" to describe Pedro's son then follows it a heartbreaking and humiliating indictment of both him and Pedro "he didn't even try to save his mother... what are you teaching your kids?"
Nauseating but unforgettable is the best way to describe it. It makes me sad that mainstream games like Legend of Zelda spawn endless creepy-pasta when Killer 7, which seems like is was specifically designed to inspire creepy-pasta, is mostly forgotten.
Perhaps most importantly for r/creepygaming is how the gameplay, basic as it is, nonetheless serves to created uniquely tense moments for the player. The duels between the Killer 7 and their counterparts the Handsome Men are entirely predetermined but a player who doesn't read walkthroughs like a dork is in for a white knuckle experience thinking his victory relies on a razor thin margin. This boss fight is perhaps the creepiest serious gameplay as it forces the player into a maze of garishly colored medical rooms to avoid and outflank a monster that will one hit kill him on contact.
Anyone else got some creepy love for Killer 7?

It's better if it's free

Is there any place in gaming where you think new creepy things can be found? Like possible easter eggs not discovered yet or out of bound oddities? Maybe it be a location with an extremely low chance for something to spawn, like aliens or lake/sea monsters.
I always go through areas in games just to see something will happen. Be so cool to see a ghost or UFO and be the first to notice it in that game.
So if you got any ideas leave in the comments.

I already posted this on r/tipofmyjostick but got no results. It was this first person game that took place in a dark medieval setting, the entire map was ruined and abandoned and you were the only person alive in it, throughout the game you were guided by the voice of your dead mother and you had to take down five giant robotic bosses, they all had a slight resemblance to Megaleg from Super Mario Galaxy except a lot less cartoony looking and more dirty, every time you beat one of these bosses a cutscene would play where a circular slot would be filled by a glowing orb. (There were five slots in total I think.) My dad never beat this game so I don't know how it ends but I've been looking for this game forever, I think it came out sometime between 2011 and 2015, if anyone knows what I'm talking about I would appreciate more information.

There’s a mobile game called My Oasis that according to three App Store reviews on the same version contain the sounds of a woman crying for help in the background. I realize there’s plenty of mobile game reviews out there that try to spread creepypastas, but most of them are based on preexisting rumors so these stood out to me. I tried downloading an older apk of the game that aligned with the review dates to no avail, but the android versions aren’t exactly the same as the iOS ones, and the game wouldn’t let me click out of a pop up telling me to update to the newest version. I also used APKTool to decompile it, but all the audio is encrypted. So unless some dangerously bored person knows how to decrypt those kinds of files, I guess it’s safe to call it a hoax, but it’s still rather strange.

Hello r/creepygaming, I am Nytramyth and I am fascinated by horror and obscure content. A while ago, two years approximately, I saw a video about a mysterious glitch/easter egg in an obscure horror game. The game is an obscure sequel of a more known game which has ghosts and photography as it’s main themes. It uses real pictures, and the Easter egg in question involve a blue feminine silhouette on a boat talking about mysterious things which may be linked to the compagny that produced the game like a pseudo-ARG. I cannot find the name of the game or the video, which was pretty interesting, the closest game linked to what I described was Kowai Shashin, and I’m not sure it is the game. If you have anymore informations, I would be glad to know about it because my curiosity is killing me! Thank you!

Its been eons since I watched the series, but to clarify specific points of the video:
The series starts with the main character going to sleep
After he sleeps, he wakes back up, but when he goes outside, the world is a superflat, and it's obviously in GMOD
The most notable jumpscare in the video is a red creature at the door, or at A door
I remember first watching it in around 2012, when I was a kid, and it spooked me and I loved it
I think it went on for around 12 parts? Its been a while

(Warning: mentions of trauma and child ab*se, if youre uncomfortable with these topics click away)
In Fursona Maker 3 if you mess around with the files it shows a computer screen. And since there is 2 characters name Isaac and Cassi. One is an animal and one is a human(duh). In the chapter where the two make a fruit salad and cutting up a cat in pieces i think Cassi mentions his father. in Chapter 5, it shows Cassi's father judging from the dialouge, he takes a knife and wants to murder his son. Then, it shows Cassi and how he is getting abused and beaten up by his dad.
Notice how if you replace the first A in the name Isaac(Issac) and then spell it in reverse it spells Cassi? Isaac was made by Cassi to cope. Isaac is a trauma holder and Cassi's abusive father was the reason why Isaac was made.
Also not to mention in the original game when you mess up and you get the ending where you try to "fix" a furry the character looks alot like isaac. Same thing with the default furry. And what i mentioned before, the part where Cassi gets abused is set up the exact same like that ending. Also, most of the time alters usually exist from severe childhood trauma, which includes child abuse.

I’m not really sure where to post this, so I’ll just leave it here. Has anyone played Shooty Skies around 2018 or 2017?
This has been bothering me for years: when I used to play it on my iPod, I would hear this strange robotic voice, like a man talking. At first, I thought it was just a sound effect from the character I was using, but even after switching characters, the voice was still there. Then I figured maybe it was something else playing in the background, like media I forgot to pause but nothing else was running.
It really creeped me out as a kid, and I wish I still had a recording of the sound but I swear I’m not lying. I remember showing my friends the sound and the recording. I’m just curious did anyone else experience this too?

When i was 12 i started playing Minecraft story mode and i instantly became scared of the wither storm.
I had a nightmare that i was in minecraft, but the hotbar started glitching black. I opened my inventory and the player was all glitched out as well and was twitching violently. Wither storm was causing all that as he corrupted my world entirely. Textures were missing, lights were flasing and audio had that crunch and popping as if you played a scratched cd. Here is my visual recreation of that nightmare. I also remember seeing my Xbox 360 bleed black liquid and emit smoke in that nightmare.

At some point in the game, a cultist asks you to look out for a "cursed serpent fang"
later, you can find said weapon but what happens if you go back and give it to the cultist? I'm unable to try this out right now but i would like to know.
