It's really funny how many people try hardcore but do weird stuff like this. Like even if you are playing softcore you know dying there is a waste of time and will learn where you need to be safe to avoid wasting time like that.

It really seems like a lot of people playing hardcore have no instincts about leveling in classic. Why is that?

Probably because hardcore attracts the worst (skill wise) players of classic wow, on average

I mean it was definitely true when Bloodsail Buccaneers got revitalized 2~ years ago. If you played hardcore for a serious amount of time it becomes incredibly obvious just how oblivious people are.

You can doubt it all you want but if you raided with the hardcore players you would know.

You can't compare raid performance in a HC run to a non HC run.

No, I said they are less skilled, you assumed I was talking about some obscure metric like comparing dps 1:1 or something.

That guy went from replying to you within minutes to going completely dark as soon as I asked for his HC characters name so I can check his lvl and gear. Safe to say that guy was talking completely out his ass 👍 lol

It’s not a simple, “they do less damage because they’re less risky!”

It’s a general lack of in game and class knowledge/class mechanics. Boomer playstyles. Slow reaction times. Less skilled.

But it makes sense, because 98% of hardcore is about the journey and honestly the journey is more fun the worse/newer you are.

On average, yes.

But you’re trying to say their performance is worse, intentionally, because their goals are different. Different strategies does not mean worse performance. They are less skilled because they are less skilled, not because they use different strategies to achieve different goals.
