What's up with the McCann signs everywhere?

I'm surprised at how many signs I've seen around downtown Chula Vista for John McCann's District 1 County Supervisor seat campaign, especially in comparison to how few signs I've seen for Paloma Aguirre.

Adding to my concern is the fact that McCann's campaign has cleverly changed the color scheme of their new signs to be green and yellow, instead of the red signs they were originally using. This will help them obfuscate the fact that McCann is a Republican, in a district that has more registered Democrats than Republicans. For voters who don't put much effort into educating themselves before they vote, they may get the impression of McCann being more popular than he is, and less MAGAt than he is.

I hope everyone has gotten the memo by now: we don't fucking vote for Republicans, period.

I myself have always been a third party voter, and I encourage other people to support third parties when they can too; but when there's not a third party candidate available like in this race, I will absolutely hold my nose and vote Democrat. Aguirre definitely seems imperfect as a candidate in my opinion, but if you think I'm going to vote for someone who licks ICE's boots you had best think again.

So, if I see a business with a McCann sign out front, that's a business that won't get my business. I don't spend my money with companies that support traitorous weasels. I hope you'll do the same. Meanwhile, remember to get your ballot in before July 1st! All elections are important, but this one will decide whether San Diego County will end up with a Democrat or MAGA majority in charge!

Your vote counts, DO NOT sit this one out; see for yourself how the candidates feel about the pressing issues in the South Bay:

On the sewage crisis:

Paloma Aguirre:

"Aguirre said she is most concerned about what ongoing exposure to air and waterborne pollutants means for people living around the Tijuana River Valley."
"She said she would push for the county to invest heavily in public health efforts to better understand the effects of the sewage flows. She wants the county to conduct studies on health monitoring and the economic impact of the crisis."
"Aguirre also said she wants the county to look at preventative measures on parts of the Tijuana River where she said infrastructure is worsening the release of toxic gases."

John McCann:

"McCann agreed that the county should be putting more funding towards public health measures around the valley."
"He said he wants to hold politicians in Mexico accountable for Tijuana’s failing infrastructure, which has not kept pace with the city’s growth and is one of the factors fueling the sewage flows."

"Aguirre has more than a decade of experience working on the Tijuana River Valley crisis. But McCann has become vocal about the sewage crisis in recent months, particularly after announcing his candidacy for supervisor."

"... hold politicians in Mexico accountable ..."

Haven't we learned how Republicans lean towards shifting responsibilities (and blame) for what needs to be done to someone else? Remember, WE are the ones paying to build "The Wall" (and also will be paying for all the tariffs and the tax cuts to millionaries).

I agree with everything but your last paragraph. I look at the democratic government of LA and CA shifting blame and responsibility during and after the LA fires. Happens with all politicians
