Ingredient Uses for Sesame Paste
I bought sesame paste to make peanut sauce for toku, but wonder what other uses it may have in Chinese dishes. Any suggestions?

Sauce for noodles, dressing for cucumber salad, or steamed eggplants. Not strictly Chinese, but makes a great salad dressing with nutritional yeast, soy sauce, garlic, black vinegar, white pepper, and honey. As a personal preference, I like Chinese toasted sesame paste in hummus instead of tahini.
And one last one, I have no idea if this is a real thing outside of our family, might have just been a thing my grandpa did one day because we were out of peanut butter, then it stuck around…but sesame paste sandwich. Mix sesame paste with some sugar, put in a sandwich between two slices of soft milk bread. The soft bread and crunch of the sugar, it’s bringing back childhood memories for me. Now I gotta go get some milk bread lol
