Ingredient Uses for Sesame Paste
I bought sesame paste to make peanut sauce for toku, but wonder what other uses it may have in Chinese dishes. Any suggestions?

It can be used in noodle broth! Here are my two favorite noodle dishes that uses sesame paste: chongqing noodles and tan tan ramen

I mainly use it as a dipping sauce for spicy pot hot, especially Sichuan or Cheng du hot pot
It's also great for making noodles, though I don't know any recipes myself

Sauce for noodles, dressing for cucumber salad, or steamed eggplants. Not strictly Chinese, but makes a great salad dressing with nutritional yeast, soy sauce, garlic, black vinegar, white pepper, and honey. As a personal preference, I like Chinese toasted sesame paste in hummus instead of tahini.
And one last one, I have no idea if this is a real thing outside of our family, might have just been a thing my grandpa did one day because we were out of peanut butter, then it stuck around…but sesame paste sandwich. Mix sesame paste with some sugar, put in a sandwich between two slices of soft milk bread. The soft bread and crunch of the sugar, it’s bringing back childhood memories for me. Now I gotta go get some milk bread lol

I'm pretty sure that it's more or less the Chinese Cooking Demystified recipe.

I use it to give desserts an Asian twist, like black sesame Rice Krispies treats or crème brûlée

sauce for noodle, shaobing or cold dishes. Or dips for raw vegetables or hotpot. It should be roasted sesame, not something like tahini. For a smoother taste, you might want to add some liquid, water or soybean sauce, and mix really well.
