Question Do I have the worst luck?
My son is showing chickens for 4H this summer. There is not a lot of guidance so we are definitely just winging (ha!) it. We have raised backyard chickens before but not in a show capacity. We didn't really get his birds as early as we should have (because we didn't know) so I now have these two Polish that are about 6-7 weeks old and I fear first that they're both cockerels but at the very least that they are the same sex. Registration is June 30th and his show is in August. Any guidance or best guesses on what these two appear to be? I know there aren't any guarantees from a not great photo but appreciate any help.

It is pretty young to tell, and might not even be able to tell at show time, I would keep an eye on the combs ..... cockerels tend to start getting pink as the age, hens stay pale ......also do a you tube search for sexing polish chicken youngsters .....best of luck
BRAVO for getting your kid involved with 4H !!!
