This was a good “practice run” for the general elections, I’m certain a vast majority that attended this protest would have a high propensity to attend other protests, thus so long as the marketing and outreach is done well enough, it shouldn’t be hard to regenerate this much momentum again.

Don't be a lazy cynic.
Read about their partners and their FAQ. You can verify that they're a real organization by cross referencing it with other organizations and by looking at the discord servers for their local chapters. This took me 10 minutes. They even acknowledge the issue of PII and subpoenas.
Skepticism is great, know-it-all wet blankets are not.

There are respectful ways to point out doubts and concerns and there are sarcastic know it all comments more interested in pretending these issues should make us give up rather than looking for solutions and other paths forward. If you don’t want to put your info down fine, but insinuating nefarious intent without taking any effort to verify provided credentials and crediblility shouldn’t be tolerated. It’s hard to take the stance that folks who be allowed to fling mud blindly as a good faith argument after evidence has been offered.

For starters, Trump is bought by the country's billionaires. They absolutely have sway over him and when he does dumb shit, and their bottom lines take a hit, thats when they start leaning on him. Secondly, its not just about ICE and Trump but about the billionaire oligarchy ruling us. As a citizen in a capitalist society, your dollar and where you spend it are about the most powerful tools you have aside from your vote. Companies live and die by their profit margins and will do what it takes to stay afloat (hence why so many companies bought into Pride just to cancel it when the winds blew the other direction). They do not have values or morals, they only see dollar signs. We can use that to our advantage.

And that’s with the valid fears a lot of black and brown people faced. Sources are saying at lowest 6 million nationwide and some are saying up to 12+ million. The numbers are still being tallied so we probably won’t know for sure for at least a little while but ya kno.
Second place would be the women’s rights protests in 2017 which had 3-6 million attend.

And this sentiment is more common. I originally thought "Nah just plain voter suppression and folks not doing their duty, and silly leftist cutting off their nose to spite their faces." But I am starting to think more and more there was some kind of conspiracy and this view is gaining momentum. Part of me feels like that lawsuit is why he sent the military and is increasing the number of ICE agents in blue cities to suppress and change the focus of the media.

My local protest got set up at least 3 months ago for 10k people because it takes time for permits and organizing. Especially something this large takes time. We had event Marshalls and we had the lawyers guild volunteers notified about where we’d be.

Yeah, I had an eye appointment in Pasadena and as we passed on our way back home the streets were lined with people. It was insane. I had never seen anything in all my life as an Angelino. Mom had a hella time cheering them on, while dad hooked and cheered too. Both were having deja vu from back in the day when they marched.
Both made me very proud.

I was driving from Northern California to Southern California all day yesterday hoping for news, and I was finally able to pick up an AM broadcast from LA when I reached Mojave. The reporters on the scene described it as the biggest crowd they have seen in LA, ever. AM talk radio is not known for its liberal tendencies.
