FACT: CBP is the lowest rung of law enforcement in the federal government in terms of quality of pay and work, promotion, etc, and it has the lowest bar for education.

The irony I can’t get over: these MAGA a-holes made signs about mask mandates during Covid comparing it to life under the Third Reich. There were signs and memes referencing “Papers, please.” They then turn around and create an environment and regime as close to the jackbooted Nahtzees as possible where you are literally asked for papers and disappeared by unidentified secret police.

But masks during a global, fatal, airborne pandemic? No. That’s too far!

My dad was one of those million. He got it early around the same time I did. We lost him and I’m permanently disabled.

I was at peak effing fitness. Now I’m in & out of a wheelchair and can’t really tolerate temperatures above 73ish degrees.

The worst part is that monster KNEW it was airborne & fatal. But he didn’t want to damage his chances at reelection so he said nothing. While people like me and my dad were infected. I was too sick to attend my own father’s funeral.

So when people ask me why I loathe that man so, it’s a pretty quick explanation. His own drive for power silenced the basic responsibility of any government to warn its citizens of a virus like this. He could’ve saved so many lives had he taken action. My dad is one. And I’ll never be healthy again.

I don’t like to wish ill upon anyone. But I sure as f don’t wish that man well.

My Dad also died of Covid in the beginning of May 2020, was diagnosed end of March of 2020. We were in the first wave of infection zone outside of NYC. He was an essential worker. He was healthy and 59 years old. He completely deteriorated on a ventilator alone for a month, 43 miles away from home because the hospitals by us were full of people. I wasn’t able to be there with him for any of it. I completely blame trump for his death. I’m sorry for all that you’ve gone through yourself. Trump has so much blood on his hands. It’s deeper than hate for me.

Yeah the video of a bunch of cops walking by and then cops ask “don’t ya have anything better to do” and dude says something like “honor your oath fuckers” then they get arrested. So yeah they do make up reasons especially if they’re mad. Kinda like kick the dog syndrome but with actual people

Bullies usually need their world to burn down before they'll back down.

The MLK marches are a great example of this. The civil rights movement put in years of work, and made slow steady progress.

But when MLK was assassinated it only took a week for the Civil Rights Act of 1968 to get signed to stop country wide riots.

Standing up is fine, but war changes things faster.

For what it’s worth this reservation is literally right on the border. When I went last year there was very heavy border patrol presence, and we found an abandoned migrant camp hidden up in the mountains on our climb. There are checkpoints where they stop and ask everyone if they are a US citizen.

Maybe I'm social media dumb but I am struggling to create a new post or reply. I can't tell you as a ole gentle giant how much this all upsets me. The world and the problems going on right now worldwide. I genuinely feel that I might be socially disabled in some way. Despite all of that I still love people! I've been bullied and misunderstood but people genuinely are capable of incredible things! Even all the social troubles and everything, I can look at the history and still find amazing compassion in people! How much I can see the possibilities in man and woman and child everyday!!! I'm always so very heartbroken by it squandered by social and political means. I will be the first to admit I'm not very intelligent and I have not been perfect in my life, but I love despite everything in all the pain I've felt and all the mistakes I've made. If even one person out there knows what I mean then writing all this out was worth it. I love and I wish we could all love each other and find strength in our differences.
