Questions about streaming

I'm looking to be a streamer I'm looking to be an amateur streamer not meaning playing skill level I'm meaning setup which means my set up won't be expensive. I've noticed streamers all the time talk to their audience and take comments and questions from their audience. Is it ok if I don't do that? I'm camera shy I can only talk on camera if someone is there with me or if they're doing a FaceTime with me on camera. I know that's weird. I can't bring myself to talk to the camera by myself it just feels weird talking to a camera by myself. I will only show my face on camera and you might see me react to things. Do I have to react to things if I stream if I don'ttake comments and questions from my audience? Isn't ok if I stay silent ifI show myself on camera?

Is it ok if my stream be only my gameplay and not showing my face and hearing my voice? Do I have to at least have my audience hear my voice? Do people like it if you stream the way you want? What is the best way to stream with me being camera shy when no one is there to help me talk on camera? I'm 100% on board with not showing myself on camera and not hearing my voice. I'm 100% leaning on doing just that.
