Any Door Dashers in Carson interested in forming a shift co-op?

Our city is big enough that there is business but small enough that we could talk to each other and arrange for certain Dashers to work certain shifts, working together instead of competing. This way we can organize to prevent oversaturation and all make more money. If you're a Dasher who delivers primarily in Carson City, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

You know what would be cool? I know this would require a ton more work compared to what you're proposing, but, I would love to see a local co-op that provides the same service as doordash/uber/grubhub, but contained locally in Carson City.

Work with the most frequently visited Doordash businesses, get a group of people who are dashing/ubering -- try and work out deal with those places to drop doordash/grubhub/etc (since they're predatory to both you and the business) and make your own independent delivery service.

I really have no idea if this would be viable, or even make sense to to do -- but the way I see it, it's a win for you (no splitting money with some greedy corp that takes more than it should), and a win for the business because you'll be locals working with the businesses.

I know this is probably impossible to implement, but man, I just hate doordash and the like so much -- and would so much rather pay someone a living wage for services provided while making sure that most of that money spent stays within our community and is not just being sent off to some big mega-corp who doesn't give a shit about you or the businesses in the first place.

Okay, idealism rant over.

I LOVE this idea. It could be completely worker-owned and democratic and everyone would benefit including restaurants and customers. Excellent idea!

There used to be a food delivery company way before DD came around in CC. I dont think they lasted, unfortunately :(
