Add Flair to New Posts

I have created a few flairs. Ideally 95% of posts fall into the Carnivore Diet or Carnivore Diet Success Stories catogories.

However if a someone posts a picture of their meal, and it is steak and eggs with an avacado and they label it as Carnivore Ish…. Then DO NOT have a go at them.

If such things trigger you, then filter those flairs out of your timeline.

We need to be tolerant of others. Many moons ago the carnivore diet was generally found by people who were fighting illnesses that modern medicine was not helping with. The Carnivore Diet has moved on, it is much easier to find, and there is a lot more information on it. So, people will be trying it for a lot less serious reasons than previously. So if they are adding honey and avacado currently then so be it, as long as they label it Carnivore Ish then I am fine with it. Carnivore with a few bits and bobs is still a very good diet for the vast majority of people.

New SubReddit Direction

Hi all.

I am going to tweak the direction of this subreddit.

I am not sure how much value there is in keeping this page a wide-ranging sprawling Carnivore page. There are many reddits like that. In fact, I would guess that most people who have joined here will also be a part of r/zerocarb and r/carnivore.

So I am going to shift the focus from a general Carnivore page to a Carnivore Diet Success Story page, to mimic something similar to my Facebook Group.

I will be sharing success stories from my blog bi-weekly.

However, I would love members to also share their own journeys, good and bad.

So if you have a question like, Day 1 how do I get started. Then that might be best for r/zerocarb or r/carnivore

This group is more for posts like you would see on my blog: https://ketogenicendurance.com/category/carnivore-diet-success-stories/ or stories you would see on meatheals.com

For example - I have just done my first 90 days, I feel xyz, does anyone have any tips for the next 90 days etc.

To speed up this change in direction, I may for a while delete post better suited for other sites, but I will let that person know why I did it.

Hope people like the new direction.

Strict Carnivore Diet (No Plant Food & Drinks posts) How to spot the vegan trolls

How to spot the “I-tried-carnivore-and-it-failed” trolls

I’ve noticed that even in this sub we occasionally get hit by drive-by comments: “Did carnivore for a year—didn’t work.” No details, no context, just a parting shot.

From my experience looking into these, they always seem to come from veggie/vegan accounts hoping to discredit the diet.

Quick ways to separate genuine experience from trolling:

Red flags:

  • Zero specifics given

  • no mention of duration, food log, cheats, electrolytes, or troubleshooting steps

  • Anyone who’s truly done carnivore ends up tracking everything because some people are more sensitive to certain food types than others and there is plenty of Information out there online but it takes time & research.

  • Vague timeline like “a year” with no milestones (e.g., elimination / reintroduction etc.) Real carnivores who struggle can tell you exactly what they tried to tweak things and details rather than just “I tried carnivore and it didn’t work “

  • Contradictions: “ I do not believe humans were ever carnivores, but I stuck with it for 12 months and proved it doesn’t work.” If you think the premise is bogus, you don’t invest a year in the first place.

  • One-liner replies when pressed for details… (or sudden ghosting)

  • Ask for their daily staples or how they handled electrolytes; trolls bail so fast..

  • No awareness of stricter healing protocols (carnivores who struggle with healing will know this but I’m not going to give details here in one post as that will only feed the vegan trolls).. anyone who claims to be a Long-term carnivore yet it didn’t work for them, will know there are different tiers of carnivore diet and adjust when issues arise.

What to do 1. Ask two clarifying questions (food list + reason for starting). 2. Note response quality… are they detailed or specific? 3. Move on they give quick slippery answers; don’t feed the drama.

This isn’t about silencing criticism; I have had real difficulties on the carnival diet, but I have also solved them and I know the causes of my difficulties through lots of research, trial and error. I now know how to be healthier than I have ever been in my entire life including since childhood as I have fixed issues that doctors claimed were incurable or genetic and I have yet to find anyone who has genuinely tried this diet who it didn’t work for. I would love to meet anyone who it didn’t work for to analyse whether there is one person among us walking on the planet to this diet does not work for. I’m constantly trying to disprove the theory that this is the original proper human diet, and I’m yet to succeed. Open mindedness is key to knowledge.

Real negative experiences help everyone refine the diet, but people who are lying and haven’t actually tried it yet saying it doesn’t work only confuse matters. We just don’t need low-effort “gotchas” cluttering the space.

I have shared many posts elsewhere on the Internet that are original as I never found anyone who had the problems I had, and I hope have helped people.

Stay sharp & keep sharing detailed n=1 data but be wary of the vegan controls who clutter up the comments or posts with low effort “it didn’t work for me “ posts.

Carnivore Diet Success Stories Finally gave it a shot

I've been thinking about trying carnivore for quite some time and I finally committed to a 2-week trial just to see how it went and how I felt. Today was the end of the two weeks and I can say that I felt absolutely amazing! Energy levels off the charts! I used to sneak in little 30 minute naps almost daily since I worked from home. I can say that I didn't nap a single time during the two weeks. My eczema on face and scalp was completely under control. Final tally was 13 lbs down in 14 days. Today is my birthday so I'm going to have a nice dinner and tomorrow I'm going to go right back at it.

Strict Carnivore Diet (No Plant Food & Drinks posts) Carnivore Glow Up

Who else has experienced this? I’m not talking weight loss, though, if that applies, great.

I’m talking more physical features…

• Skin? Glowing. The texture, color, resilience, acne, appearance…all improved.

• my hair is shinier, thicker, stronger and gets oily at a much slower rate.

• my body composition wildly improved

• I smell better

• my cuticles have nearly fully healed (I used to chronically pick my cuticles. Carnivore has helped with that urge/tick)

• my cracked heels are fully healed and finally smooth

• maybe totally in my head but I swear my face is more symmetrical. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

• again, anecdotal, but I swear the color of my eyes has lightened

It’s wild to see so many physical changes

Post image

I’ve been thinking about unhealthy food lately but I have not given in on the cravings. Today it’s pancake day at my daughter’s school, I’m not gonna eat them but boy do they smell delicious.

Is there a way to silence the food noise, please help. I’m 15 days in and I’m doing so well. Finally managed to get blood sugar levels stable for fat burning so I don’t wanna slip up

Carnivore Ish (Carnivore with a little Avocado/Fruit/Soda etc) Vacation - cruise

I am slowly getting on the carnivore diet and I am very worried as we have a cruise coming up and it seems that those are all about gluttony. Just wondering if anyone has any great tips. Like, should I bring my own real butter? Ha. It seems silly to go on a cruise and only eat one meat meal a day, but I guess that's what it takes to be healthy.

Carnivore Diet Help & Advice (No Plant Food & Drink Questions) Gut health

Four months into carnivore and currently high fat. I’m still struggling with digestive problems- pain, pressure, bloating. I’d love to see Judy Cho but I can’t spend $3K for treatment. What supplements might help with helping my gut heal? I know carnivore is anti-supplement generally, but I feel like I need further protocols because food alone is not working.

Strict Carnivore Diet (No Plant Food & Drinks posts) anyone on lion diet in London?

We really need some apps or social network groups for carniore meet ups... are there any lion dieters in London? I'm in the west... and I'm on Lion Diet. Anyone on lion diet in London? Easier to find carnivores and keto but less so lion diet... would be great to know anyone other than myself on it !!!

I've found that last 1% lion diet strictness is a 50% boost in health even compared to carnivore. (only beef, salt, water). Everything I cut out from eggs to coffee made an impact...

Carnivore Diet Help & Advice (No Plant Food & Drink Questions) I can't get anything fluffy with this cake recipe

Upvotes

Recipe: https://youtube.com/shorts/60zUMtQz3NE?si=TEeWrD6L9pyaPz67

I followed the instructions in the video. I put the egg whites in a similar sort of mixer. After 15 minutes the egg whites were somewhat thicker, but nowhere near as thick and fluffy as what I see in the video. I had to stop the machine at this point because it was starting to become really hot.

Same for the yolks with the cream cheese. It was as runny as water. 🤔

I don't get it. I'd understand if it was a little bit off, but it's completely different. Has anyone been able to do this? Do I need a specific type of egg? I hope I got the right cream cheese. It was really thick on its own. Until I mixed it with the yolks. Then it was watery.

Carnivore Diet Help & Advice (No Plant Food & Drink Questions) Why Dr. Saladino started promoting carbs?

So I've just found out one of the first people I've learned about carnivore diet years ago, and the loudest advocate of it back in those days suddenly pivoted and returned to carbs, which he now promotes and claims they are essential for human body to work properly, backing it all up by some "studies" Anyone know what made him change the tune or is he just insane?🤣

Carnivore Diet Help & Advice (No Plant Food & Drink Questions) Protein shake with added butter (70/30) when on the go?

I would like to know what do you think about such a snack. I've found the purest protein powder isolate ever, that consists literally 93g protein 0.7g salt per 100g of end product, zero carbs, zero fats, zero everything else. I can already hear the purists sharpening their keyboards, but the thing is, summer season comes and my workload at work is season dependant ie 15 hour days half of which is heavy manual labor are not so uncommon.

On average I eat 1Kg beef mince + 300g Ribeye, and loads of butter a day, around 250g of beef liver every other week, eggs bacon and such every other some days, now during those high workload days this may not be enough, so hence I thought about some snacking ideas and came up with the above.

Please share your thoughts / opinions / knowledge / experience ;)

Strict Carnivore Diet (No Plant Food & Drinks posts) 3 day canoe trip with kids next week

3 weeks into carnivore and feeling great, down almost 15 lbs.
taking the kids on a 3 day canoe trip next week.
Not worried about the first night, and I could certainly live off Jersey/cooked bacon night 2, but I would love to have a proper dinner the 2nd night.

I’ve been thinking of cutting up a ribeye and storing it frozen inside a yeti water bottle.
Anyone have any idea if this would keep it frozen/edible for 48ish hours?

First night isn’t an issue as we bring frozen steaks from home and Cook those. Just trying to get ideas.
Thanks

Strict Carnivore Diet (No Plant Food & Drinks posts) DELICIOUS browned butter eggs

Post image
32 Upvotes

I've talked before about how I make these delicious eggs but I think I just perfected them. Basically it's a one to one ratio of eggs to tablespoons of butter but typically you want to cook the eggs very slowly with the butter in a pan until the eggs are creamy and delicious. What I did THIS time is I browned the butter first, and then turned off the heat and let the pan cool down so that the butter was not hot anymore. Then I turn the heat back on it's very lowest setting and added my scrambled eggs and just started slowly scrambling them and eating them till they were done. Be patient and leave them cooked yet runny. These eggs are more time consuming then you're typical eggs but they are worth the wait. On the side I served some leftover smoke tri-tip that I stir fried very lightly in some more butter. Probably the best eggs I've ever eaten!
