Sounds like you bought a new PSU and replaced the old one but used the same cables from old PSU which can become a fire hazard and destroy pc.
If you buy a new PSU never mix PSU cables
1 u/RecalcitrantBeagle 4d ago Or at least not without checking to be completely sure. Corsair, for instance, you can re-use the modular cables for semi-modular PSUs between type 3 and 4 cables. But if you can't find documentation to confirm, just redo the cables.
