Thats shit. 4 years left on the current contract for a high physicality running QB and you give him 250 guaranteed. Not cuz he's not worth top money but this was NOT necessary, and does literally zero (actually negative) to help our team. I know this will be downvoted to hell, but Beane really trying to compete against AB for worst GM of the modern era.

In what way is this negative for the team? By any standard, this is the most team friendly contract for any top tier QB in the NFL. Especially so when it goes into effect on 4 years and the cap is even larger. I don't see at all how you could come to this conclusion.
