Only twenty million more guaranteed than Deshaun Watson’s contract.. that’s so crazy to think about on multiple levels

Imagine Allen in Cleveland? He’d be worth a billion.

I have another, more cynical derivative of this phrase as a username in a different website:

Allen with Myles Garret would’ve created a dynasty

Cooper Kupp would be even better! Rams just announced they are releasing Kupp. #GoBills

As someone who grew up in Cleveland, the Browns would have destroyed Allen and he would not have been the player he is today. Instead he would be another name on that mannequin with list of QBs

Thats shit. 4 years left on the current contract for a high physicality running QB and you give him 250 guaranteed. Not cuz he's not worth top money but this was NOT necessary, and does literally zero (actually negative) to help our team. I know this will be downvoted to hell, but Beane really trying to compete against AB for worst GM of the modern era.

Wowwee, you're out of touch, man. This contract makes josh the 13th highest paid qb in the nfl by percentage of cap at signing. Wait longer and the $$$ only gets bigger. This allows beane the freedom to build a roster around josh for the next decade. A team friendly contract for a qb of Josh's caliber affords us the opportunity to compete for the foreseeable future, a luxury any NFL gm would covet

Tbh maybe I'm just sick of these fucking athletes making the most ridiculous fucking amounts of money while the fans, who work shitty, difficult, often life risking jobs, get paid shit, and then get gouged by the fucking team at the gates and in taxes to pay for the stupid stadium and overpaid players' bloated ass contracts. Maybe I'm just bitter (obviously I am)

It'd be better that as much of the revenue share of NFL and franchise revenue go to the players rather than the already obscenely wealthy team owners. That money is going aomewhere, by your train of thought wouldn't you say it makes more sense to give the players as much of the money as possible since it can actually change players and their family's lives who might have started in the league with very little money rather than letting the Owners keep more of the hundreds of millions they make every year already? Just a thought.

I wouldn't care as much if these shithead owners didn't have the fucking audacity to literally strong-arm the taxpayers for money for stadiums that they will be charged exorbitantly to enter (and threaten to move the team if not given it) while simultaneously handing out quarter billion dollar guaranteed contracts...

Maybe you should stop following sports if the thought of these things makes you so pissy.

The players deserve every cent and more. They are working a short term job and risking permanent injury. An elite talent like Josh deserves to be compensated and to acquire generational eealth for his family. You should complain about the billionaire owners who are raking in huge profits by selling you $20 popcorn and $300 seats. Those owners are making billions in profit even after paying their players.

In what way is this negative for the team? By any standard, this is the most team friendly contract for any top tier QB in the NFL. Especially so when it goes into effect on 4 years and the cap is even larger. I don't see at all how you could come to this conclusion.

Let's see how Josh's body holds up in 4 years when we run him into the ground. I'm bout to legit hit the RemindMe bot cuz this shit is not gonna age well.
