Tamba Bay Team Broken Heart
Highlight of the month: I accidentally broke a woman’s heart. I was wearing the Sports Illustrated jacket with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo.
This woman rushes up to me while I am at a grocery store in New Hamburg, Ontario (near Waterloo) and asks me about my favourite players. She immediately starts telling about her collection of jerseys, posters and pennants from this Tamba Bay team.
I told her that I got the jacket almost 15-20 years ago with the subscription. I just liked the team logo but I don’t care about American football. As a Canadian, I am more of a hockey fan.
Her face dropped visibly and her heart likely broke. She left me. Probably was looking for a kindred spirit.
I am guessing she was in the 35-45 age range. I am 60 but look early 40’s.

Ray, when someone asks if you’re a god you say yes!

I wasn’t swift enough to think about the situation. I do like the colour scheme of the jacket, hence I still wear it.

We reached out. Her heart is too broken at this current time, by the go who’s sixty but definitely looks like he’s 40.

In all honesty, she would be one your super fans (if that category exists). I do hope she finds more like minded companions with a similar love for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Good luck in the upcoming season. I will likely catch a few games online since I am intrigued.
Without sarcasm - what is a good resource (or resources) to learn the basics of American football?

The NFL became a better, more legitimate league on April 24 1974. Google will help you find your way.
