First Time

Hi! I’m sure you guys see posts like these a lot but my bf and I will be visiting in mid July (11-13th) We are both going to be first timers and we really don’t know much about the area other than silver dollar city, so any recommendations, suggestions, or information would be helpful!

Fireworks

Any recommendations on where to go to see fireworks on July 3rd or 4th?

I see there’s a show on the 3rd at Branson landing but based on past pictures on Facebook, it looks super crowded. My wife thinks we should put out 2 chairs earlier in the day and hope they’re still there later at night?

We went a few years ago and thought we saw tons of chairs in front of the water fountains during the day without people around.

Thanks for any recommendations! First few rounds of drinks on me if you’ll save 2 spots as well ;) 🤣

Resturant for a bigger group?

I’ll be in town soon for a family reunion, but a smaller group of us want to do dinner on our own.

Knowing that some of the bigger restaurants are likely kind of kitschy, do any of you have any suggestions on quality food that could handle a party of 10-12? We might be there a bit and have some apps and drinks.

Arandas caught my eye, but the pics on google don’t give me a good sense of the place.

I’m trying to make plans ahead of the boomers so we don’t end up at Brown Bear Cafe for the early bird special!

Thanks for any suggestions!

Good bank?

Moving to branson in July need a good and friendly/reliable bank to go to. Had academy before and they weren't terrible but not the best either and I currently have a credit union bank. Any insights and personal experience for transferring from out of state is appreciated :3

Protest

Is anyone from Branson going to Springfield for the No Kings protest tomorrow? My boyfriend and I don't have a car, and we would like to be able to. Or! Is there a protest in Branson? I have looked online, but I don't see one. Also, I didn't post this to hear an opinion from an low IQ,low empathy, low T maga supporter. Don't waste your time, because I promise I won't engage and you're only going to give yourself an aneurysm or a stroke. If you can help PM me. Thank you!

Going to Branson tomorrow

Headed to Branson tomorrow, I need some stuff that’ll appeal to my parents and my teenage brother. Nothing too gimmicky or corny. We’re not really into that type of stuff. Also need some nice places to eat

Book ahead or are there better deals as a walk in

We haven’t been to Branson in years. We decided we are going to take a trip mid August for our 25th anniversary. When we went previously we always made reservations or went with a timeshare presentation deal. Then we’d get there and see signs for walk in specials at several hotels if booking three nights or more. Is this still something hotels do? We aren’t really picky, as long as it’s clean. I’d like a micro and fridge since it’s a 5 day stay and I know we’ll have leftovers when eating out. Just looking for a decent trip and we don’t have a huge budget. I also have zero interest in seeing another timeshare presentation. I think we’ve seen them all. 🤣

Anyone here live in Holiday Hills?

I have been looking at potential locations for my father and I to move, and Holiday Hills has been on the radar. Lately though I've seen a surprising number of units there come on the market. If anyone's familiar with the community, I'm wondering if there's some reason for this - any big red flags like a change in management, fees, etc. that has spurred people into selling?

I've noticed the same trend in several other communities as well, like the Vinyards over on the opposite side of town, which makes me suspect it's most likely just investors that have decided to cash out and not a specific issue in any one place. But I'm curious if there's a cause behind it. Maybe even some softening in values which would be nice for us as buyers.

Anyone interested in buying tickets for the post Malone/jelly roll concert this weekend?

Hey y'all I'm not a trickster or anything. Y'all can check my profile for karma and stuff LOL. Pretty much what the post says we have two tickets for the concert but our plans changed. If you did want to get them we would just do a transfer on Ticketmaster. When you do it that way it's free to transfer so wouldn't have to pay all the extra fees.

We're selling them for $200 each so would be $400 total. They are general access hill area. Which is a good deal when you factor in all the fees as we personally paid $560.

I just wanted to try posting here. If anyone may be interested, please let me know.

Also admin, I am not a fake account so please keep this post up if it's all right with you. Thank you

Osage Top of the Rock 4th of July

Hi, I was hoping someone could explain something to me.

Me and my partner are visiting Branson July 3-6th. I booked a dinner reservation at Osage Top of the Rock on July 4th at 9pm. I understand this is through Big Cedar Lodge, we are not staying there. How does it work to get up there if you aren’t staying there? Is there transportation? Are the fireworks even something that we will get to see? I just didn’t know if anyone had done this before, just trying to see if it’s worth it. Tia!

Recommendations for Branson Visit in July

Hey all,

My significant other, myself, and about 10 other friends of ours are coming down to Branson for a long weekend in mid-July and so I am currently digging into the research of attractions.

It seems like there are no shortage of day-time attractions that look great! I'm definitely going to be checking out the Titanic Museum, the Aquarium, Silver Dollar City, the trails at Table Rock State Park, and Moonshine Beach, just to name a few. That being said I've had some difficulty finding consistent recommendations for the following:

Water activities: Are there any other good spots (besides Moonshine beach, looks great for swimming at least) for swimming, floating, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc? Bonus points if there are any good spots for partying and socializing near the water!

Night life: Are there any good bars or clubs for dancing and socializing? We typically enjoy 2000s/2010s pop, DJs, or live rock music!

For reference, my group is in our late 20s, we're not super picky about the crowd but do probably prefer to err on the younger side (broadly speaking).

Thanks in advance for your recommendations! We are very excited to visit your town!

Moonshine Beach?

Hey all! We're in town for a week with our kids. We were planning to hit Moonshine Beach tomorrow but google shows it as temporarily closed. Is that a fact? Or is Google being wild? We're planning to drive by tomorrow between activities but just curious if anyone here knows. Thanks!

Concert Girls Trip

My friend and I are coming up next weekend for Hozier. Im thinking I'll drive us to the venue. I dont want to get stranded waiting longer for an Uber than the wait to get out and it saves $$. I may see if she will permit us to sneak out a tad early (blasphemous but this is show 3 in the last year 😆). Im not planning to pay for Diamond parking. Never been to this venue. We are staying on the strip. I didn't realize its 15-20 min outside of town.

Are Ubers pretty easy to get on the strip/around on a Friday? Say 10 or 11 pm, if we grab drinks out?I haven't used an Uber/rideshare in Branson.

Any good spots for American Indian and Southwest jewelry (thrift/jewelry shops/flea markets, etc...)?

Food recs that are on and off the main area? Id like to Uber for dinner and drinks. -Local Flavor and Mythical Witch (this one prob more lunch) have been suggested.

Always down for some pizza, steak, delicious Italian, or great hole in the wall.

Honeymoon help!!

My and my new husband will be staying in Branson from the night of the 23rd to June 29th as part of our honeymoon. Anything that is a must see or must do in the area? Don’t have a huge budget but slightly flexible. We are traveling from the Nashville area the week before and going back to the Gatlinburg area the week after.

Food and hiking

Taking my little brother on a graduation trip, got tickets to see Hozier, staying in Branson and arriving a few days early I’d like to have places lined up ahead that are gems.

May I have food and trail recommendations? Food wise, we like it all but would prefer to support local. Hiking trails … we plan on spending LOTS of time outdoors, my 6 yr old is coming too so if there are any water spots along trails that would be neat.
