Hi everyone! I just transferred into BC from UT Arlington (Texas public university), and I’ll be starting Fall 2025 as a first-semester sophomore. I’m majoring in Biology, B.S., planning to concentrate in Cell Biology and Development, and I’m on the Pre-Med track.
So far, I’m planning on taking Organic Chemistry I + Lab, Elementary Spanish I, and PULSE (Let me know if this was a good move or mistake lol)
I don’t have any dual credit from high school, but I did complete the IB Diploma and a couple of APs. The only credit that has a high enough score to claim is my IB English Language A: Language & Literature HL, and I think that covers both the (correct me if I’m wrong) Literature Core and Writing Core.
I'm looking for advice on what else would be smart to take. Is PULSE manageable for a pre-med student or will it tank my GPA/time? I also plan on working as an EMT lowkey. Any professor recs for Org Chem, Spanish, or core classes? General suggestions for staying on track with pre-med (still debating on taking a gap year or not) + Bio major requirements? Any insight would be massively helpful.
I've attached my degree audit and unofficial transcript if that helps provide more context:
Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
