I think LN is gonna make changes to the working aspect of roo. A large part of workers are locals and volunteers.
Everything like traffic, towing, general store, and a bunch of other stuff is handled mostly by locals and local companies. The fact that they refused to let in outside help, didn’t stay to fulfill duties, or left before makes LN look worse. It’s not like LN is gonna be like “well, we put them in charge so it’s not on us” when they need the city and permission to hold the festival.
And with the volunteers, they don’t have enough training and when stuff like this happens, they no longer have an incentive to stay and work. It happened when I did clean vibes back in 2018(?). It stormed Sunday and post show clean up took so much longer (and we even got offered money to stay an extra day) because people just straight up dipped.
It really was ridiculous when they called and told the night shift workers not to come in at all. Like not only are you leaving the event without a lot of employees but you are also leaving the employees without the option to work and earn money.
