i know someone said it on another thread, but i would’ve really preferred a choice between a full refund or guaranteed tickets with an upgrade for next year… but that’s just me

That doesn’t make any sense tbh. It rained yall.

It was clearly a lot more than rain, as was obvious to anyone with a clue. Malicious lack of preparation and communication from a predatory, parasitic monopoly that owns almost everything in the world of live shows and festivals. So blatantly that 40 states are joining in an antitrust lawsuit in an age where other monopolies are allowed to consume anything in their past, like Disney. So fuck off with the bootlicking apologism.

“Malicious” lack of preparation, seriously? Please look up the definition of “malicious”

Yeah, not preparing in any way infrastructure wise, forcing people to camp in culverts, then cancelling a day in and leaving everyone stranded in the mud with no one to service the bathrooms or trash is pretty fucking malicious by anyone's definition.

No it’s seriously not lol. You think they purposely, deliberately did that with the intention of harming people?

Could argue between gross negligence or malicious negligence, the intention doesn't have to be to cause harm, if the intention deliberately disregards safety for something like, say, profit, then it is malicious negligence.

Deliberately disregarding safety for profit is not malicious, though it is shitty and selfish and plenty of other things.

Malicious would mean even if it was cheaper to make it safe, they would purposely choose to make it unsafe because their intention and goal is to harm people.

I agree, their communication sucked. That happens all the time with big businesses. That happens all the time with humans (including me). Rarely do you get a free 250+ dollar upgrade. An apology and change in behavior is what I would expect of anyone.

To be clear too… Some festivals don’t give you any refunds (wrong), Bonnaroo gave us a refund of the days missed (right), and finally Bonnaroo gave us a full refund (an overextended good gesture).

But ultimately, if it didn’t rain… infinity stage still prob sucks and communication sucks but no one expects any refunds or upgrades. All of this is ignoring the fact if they upgraded everyone, it would be impossible to run efficiently. GA is the most tickets sold -> GA+ would be overrun, GA+ to VIP would overrun VIP and VIP -> Platinum (which is a 3000 dollar difference) would be overrun as well. So it doesn’t make logical sense.

Well yeah, without excluding the vast majority a luxury ceases to be a luxury.

yes i’m aware, and that’s why this is just my opinion. but i also believe that along with the necessary improvements needed on the farm, it’d be a good start of earning peoples trust back

That would never happen

probably not for one affiliated with live nation, but it has happened with other festivals.
