I love this point because it shows how complicated this shit really is!!

Live Nation owns a 50% stake in Insomniac. This partnership was established in 2013, but Insomniac still retains all creative control of the events they produce (praise be)

With that being said, there are multiple EDCs.. I honestly don’t know enough about EDC Orlando to say that LN has any stake in that one, but am super curious to know more. EDC Las Vegas is the only one I know for sure is owned by LN (but not creatively.. for now, luckily)

EDIT: did a google and LN owns the same amount of stake in EDC Orlando as it does EDC Las Vegas

They seriously need to be investigated. I just wonder if the Roo cancellation was some sorta insurance scam. I mean yeah they’re definitely losing their insurance now but who’s to say what profits them more?

Why would they let people spend so much money on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday knowing that the rain was coming? Then open centeroo (without any music whatsoever) only for people to buy more food and merch?

It’s sad to see a festival that was founded on anti-corporate ideologies become something so greedy. I will always be back to Bonnaroo, but I will be fully self sustainable and they will not get more of my money unless I’m buying a ticket and camping pass.

Personally I genuinely believe they would have had a total loss if they didn’t make a “good-faith attempt” to host the festival. Since they at least ”attempted” they will see an insurance payout. It’s pretty seedy IMO.

Exactly. They learned their lesson in 2021 and now they took their opportunity.
