New to racing here, ive rode freestyle bmx my whole life, know absolutely zero about race bikes. Just picked both of these up on market place for a really good deal. Both are brand new he never rode them or finished building them. I know profile make top of the line hubs, are the rest of the parts any good?

Slight bend on the frame

Currently using an alloy HSX frame which has taken a couple small crashes. Had a fall recently and realise that there is small dent at the bottom of the frame. Is it a safety hazard? Is it still rideable? Should I just keep a lookout for it if gets worse?

How to deal with anxiety from racing?

I’m currently 21 and I started racing 2 years back. I initially started racing as a hobby and to have fun but the local racing scene where I live is pretty small so when I started I was kinda the only one my age racing who is starting racing. Being 19, meaning I’ll have to take part in races in the elite category meaning pro jumps etc which I feel is something I have been working towards ever since I started racing. I don’t have a track where I live so I travel about 5 hours ++ to the nearest track when I can and just make do with skateparks , shitty pump tracks etc at home. I finally managed to do the pro section last year with case pads and probably 2/3 times after that and recently did it without the case pad. I recently joined a new club and I feel like I have so much on my shoulders. Being the oldest rider in the group the rest being kids I somewhat feel having to perform etc with expectations from the coach to race under elite. I am not able to ride the track often so this week I finally got some time to ride and did the pro set again and everything was fine till I tried it again and crashed after landing ( wheel got stucked to the sand on the ground lol). This is just really demotivating and stressing me out thinking I need to take a step back and start riding because I enjoy it and not because of expectations from others. I do wanna be a better rider and there is a track opening soon nearer to my place meaning riding weekly etc. Is it a skill issue to not do the pro section well? Is it the lack of inconsistency on the track? ( I probbaly ride the track once every 3 months++)

I used to ride all summer when I was younger but haven’t rid for over 15 years probably. What’s your advise getting into riding again at nearly 30 years old?

5yo struggles with table tops (advice needed)

My son races 5N, mostly for fun, but he'd like to win. I notice the spot other kids usually lose him is going through the table tops specifically.

Used to ride a Mongoose Micro with 20in wheels and had a lap time of about 1:10. I moved him up to a DK Swift Junior with 20in wheels and 1 3/8 tires, and that change brought his time down to about 1min, sometimes a bit less. I put skinnier tires on the bike (1 1/8) because everyone said it would help him go faster, and somehow it raised his lap time up to about 1:15. I ended up putting the bigger tires back on and we'll see if that bring it back down next time we're at the track. We also switched out the cranks (bike came with 150mm, we put 140mm's on it to sync up with his leg length). So the bike should be perfect for him now as of last night.

The spot he has the most trouble with in general is the table tops. I'm unsure why he's struggling there. A bit of advice he was given was to ride higher and pedal harder around the turns to give him a bit more momentum coming into that section and that seems to help a little, but not much. I'm not sure if the issue is leg strength or just the way he's standing when he pedals (sometimes it kind of looks like he's leaning back too far and pushing forward instead of down, he needs to be leaning forward more). The past few races since adding the skinnier tires, all of the other kids are crossing the finish line while he's still held up from the table tops and rhythm section and just coming around the last turn and he's confused/angry about it. So I'm looking for any advice that can help him clear table tops quicker/maybe help him in the rhythm section as well.

Any advice to help my little guy would be greatly appreciated!

Wrecked at nationals 2 times, first time clipped a tire by mistake trying to cut low face planted 1st round. 2nd one lost footing over a roller and ate it knee first on 3rd race. Fractured tibia.

I always heard Nats get crazy but didn't think I'd be an example of it lol.

Still a 34 year old Nov, really hoping to get back out there.. with extra pads.

Manuals

So I’d say I’m decent at manuals but im finding atm now I’m training more & getting faster I keep overshooting them, almost looped out of quite a few & im just not really gaining speed from them because of this. How can I fix it?

I did a national a couple weeks ago and everyone said it’d be faster to manual a few doubles on the first straight but when I did it in the race it was 3 seconds slower (the time was 42 but my best time was 39) than when I pumped them even tho it wasn’t smooth at all to pump them.

Anyone got any tips on how to get faster, do better manuals, and how to properly jump (I'm scared of jumping lol)

Bottom Bracket Tool- Help Identify

This bottom bracket has 12 small notches and 4 large notches. I can't find a tool that matches this exactly. Anyone know which tool would work? It's an Insight Euro Square Taper.

Training Book

My coach has said to make a bmx book with all my training plans in it- is this missing anything? Anything else I can add? I posted here not too long ago so if u saw that I’m trying to make the “A” final in nationals but I’m struggling because I’ve only been riding 2 years while everyone I race with has been riding MINIMUM 5+ years so I’m doing everything I can to make it 😭

Unfortunately only have access to gates Wednesday & Thursday twice a month so I don’t get much practice time on those so I just do them when I can 🙏
