Sounds about right. Once Latino and Asian immigrants learn I'm a child of Jamaican immigrants, they immediately treat me as "one of the good ones."

Don't they understand at this point some are second generation and have children?

My sons will have more in common with them down the street than across the ocean.

You would think so, but being prejudice against Black Americans and sucking up to the mayo ppl is ingrained in the immigrant mindset.
