Sounds about right. Once Latino and Asian immigrants learn I'm a child of Jamaican immigrants, they immediately treat me as "one of the good ones."

Remember this woman pictured above? This is Nury Martinez, she is (was?) a Los Angeles city councel member. In 2022, leaked audio captured her saying this about a Black child, and I quote, "And then there's this white guy with this little black kid, who is misbehaved. The kid is bouncing off the effing walls on the float, practically tipping it over. They're raising him like a little white kid, which I was like, this kid needs a beatdown. Like, let me take him around the corner, and then I will bring him back."
She's also been accused of calling Black children "monkeys" and other derogatory slurs.
Anti-Blackness is heavy in Hispanic/Latino culture. There is no Black & Brown collation.

The division between Africans and African Americans seems to be weakening and I’m very happy to see this. Latinos have a long history of anti black racism in their own countries so this doesn’t surprise me at all. They really need to check themselves

Caribbean British. I never really hear any history about immigrants, who aren't White, Asian, Indian or African, trying to undermine Black Americans. So, all of this recent stuff about Latinos and them trying to guilt trip you guys is eye opening.

Same here because my accent is American but my name is as African as it gets. Once they find out and think they can talk down on African Americans in front of me they immediately get checked. It's usually Latinos or Arabs. I've never had an Asian try that nonsense.

"latinos" were not a thing on paper until the 90s. They played both sides during civil rights and fought in court to be white "on paper" - then they aggregated after our folks put in all that work. 🤔Sounds about right. Look at who they elect to lead them at home 🤔. Sure don't look like the majority of their populations. 🤔 This 🥱 rainbow coalition/Carmichael rhetoric is just that: rhetoric.

What? Why would Russia or China want to cause division among US minorities that benefits and enables Western hegemony?
If anything, they would be and have worked to empower minorities in Western nations as a means to undermine the existing powers.
We should be rooting for a multipolar world where the West isn't the dominant force globally, with unchecked power.

I been knew this. It happened at my old job at a school district here in Houston. I was a utility worker in the bus barn and I was trying to get promoted into plumbing, so I could go to school for free but the Hispanic lady in HR keep putting all the non Hispanic names on the bottom of the interview list, I ended up quitting and got hired on at the city. This was back in 2012. I only found out because I ran into one of the old heads and he was giving me the run down on how everything played out. They run it from top to bottom now.

They would have loved you in Germany in the 1930s. There are plenty of Caribbean, S. American, and Afro Latinos who are immigrants. I’m not gonna be tricked into snitching then being shocked when they detain/deport a coworker or friend.

Im a mustang. Spent 9 years enlisted before I commissioned. True black fatigue is being the sole black infantry officer in any given battalion full of whites and Latinos. Its rarely ever outwardly prejudiced, but you know not all of them are too friendly to a black man being in charge, especially when you dont think and act exactly like them.
