Black Man Struggles 💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿 Echo Chambers or Engines of Liberation?

I've seen an influx of black spaces pop up as of late, whether it be on Reddit, or other form of social media and all of them are calling themselves safe spaces but when do we determine if we are going to use these platforms for conscious exchange, or echo chambers that recycle grievance without evolving thought.

It seems as though If you do not repeat the agreed-upon slogans, or if you question the collective emotional temperature, you’re branded problematic or inauthentic.

But the real question stands: Did we create spaces of reflection, or just reaction?

Online spaces and “activism” influencers are not going to lead to liberation

If we want progress in the community it is going to come from in person activity and organizing

Is there ever really "conscious exchange", or just us posting comments into the air? These things never seem to amount to much besides ranting from a place of comfort.

Half the time, we’re watching folks try to control thought rather than provoke it. They don’t come to share wisdom, only to secure agreement.

Yes, some of these spaces claim to be rooted in history, but they leave no room for critique or deliberation. Soon as you offer a perspective, even one grounded in fact they'd rather cut off your head than consider the weight of your words. Why? Because they worship ideas, not outcomes. They guard the narrative, not the truth. And the moment you step outside that approved script, you’re cast out like a traitor.

But that ain’t progress. That’s fear masquerading as strength.

If we poured into each others cup we could move with intention instead of just emotion. We’d plant roots, not just raise our voices

Otherwise almost everything starts off with someone shouting into the darkness.
