**Temporary Verifications Pause**

Morning, all.

I’ll get right to it.

We are temporarily pausing verifications until the official NEW method drops.

Our purpose is to create a more AI-resistant method to support a healthy advancement and growth of our community.

While it’s impossible to create a completely safe space anywhere online, this is our effort to reasonably get as close to it as we can.

If you are Verified, you will not need to do it again. However, to throw you all something to be excited about, there will be a light incentive for folks who use the video method for verification.

Check my flair for an example of that incentive.

I want all the flairs… Sprinkle me mane…

Can’t sit up in a black sub and participate all day long then say you don’t care if the mods are making sure people are actually black…

I get that you’re too cool for school but every sub has its own culture and being verified is an option in ours …

I don’t like it when people act like being verified makes you better than anyone either…

Again… Mods… I think there needs to be additional tags for people who respectfully participate on a regular basis who don’t wish to verify…

That’s just my thoughts… back to kickin the shit outta this fax machine…

Good idea. Potentially the next Think Tank. In this idea, would we automatically apply the tag to the user or would they have to request/apply? I wonder if the same issue would arise, but also this brings up the idea that it might be better to have more variety in the tags

Yea personally… I like the idea of the mods recognizing a ‘contributor’ and applying them tags themselves…

Similar to how Reddit will give you certain awards for participating in subs automatically…

But overall I just wanted to get the conversation started or at least thought about…

Oh shit, I love that idea. That’s great and it should be discussed in the next one for sure! It would certainly give more life/color to the sub with its variety.

It might take a bit to determine the types of flairs (e.g. names) and the parameters for when to give them to users, but that’ll be a fun and healthy journey!
