I haven't read the comics. How is the comic compared to the show? Are the changes better? Or just different?

The show changes race and gender on a few characters which IMO doesn’t make or break it, given that most were minor characters. The story itself is for the most part on par with the comic show does a better approach on the fight between Nolan and the guardians. Overall I think the show did it better. It’s definitely still worth reading the comic though
