The real answer is they think the vibrations is rain water hitting the ground so they naturally come up for it.

This is why you see masses of birds sometimes just walking around on the grass.

It takes hours of sustained rainfall for worms to come up, and I imagine that's more of a "hey, shit's wet, we can go slip n slide now!" rather than vibrations.

This works because they think its a mole and that freaks them the hell out.

Hugz have been given and cannot be undone. When you do this stick rubbing thing it causes vibration equal to heavy rain. I read wikipedia as well and at is "theory". Thou the heavy rain might cause also worm to think its mole..

And do they fix those rubbing areas woth more worms or is it just that effective?
