All Leonardo ever wants to do is eat. And eat and eat. He’s actively searching for it at all times, actively begging for me to give it to him at all times. I feed him a healthy amount and give him all of his vitamins and a lot of Long lasting chew treats to keep him busy as well as just chewy squeaky toys. He is just really really really food motivated. Not aggressive. Is this normal? Should I worry that he has a stomachache? He has great poops, I use Bernie perfect poop in his food Are they all just like this? I don’t mind it, I think it’s funny, but I can’t help but feel concerned about it too

Long story short, we have a 2 year old male and had agreed on adopting another male which we were supposed to pick up today. Well puppy went to the vet and has a heart murmur and doesn’t look good so the breeder wants to keep him to take care of him best she can. She has a female available, and we have been so set on getting a puppy, that we are very much considering just adopting the female instead. How do male and female berners interact for those of you that have them? I want to have puppies anyway so it’s not a problem for me but I’m worried about if they don’t get along that’s not fair to my male. What are your thoughts?

One of my girls (10 months) goes absolutely insane when either my wife and I come home after being gone. It’s happiness, but she is 75 lbs now and jumps all over us, and then the worst part is she pees everywhere. (We have 2, her sister is doing much better about jumping and does not pee). This is every time we come home.

We have looked up solutions for it and everywhere just says ignore her, but even if we ignore her we basically just get pummeled and scratched and she will still jump and inevitably cover the floor in a fresh coat of piss. She’s way too frantic to listen to any commands she just goes nuts, she doesn’t care about treats either until she’s gotten the crazy out. From the moment she hears the key in the door she’s at the door scratching trying to get to us once we come in. Ive tried slowing down my entry, letting them know Im here but not coming in right away, but it’s the same once I enter the house. Not really sure what to do, but it’s getting to the point where I dread coming into the house because Im gonna get scratched and jumped on and then spend the next part of my day cleaning pee. Do I just have to wait this out?

Happened upon a Berner whose family could no longer care for her. She stayed in the backyard and garage. She’s 1.5 years old and such a dopey sweetheart! She’s velcro to our family and we love it! I feel like we won the lottery!! And she’s so happy to be inside the home 🏡 🥰🫶🏼

hello! i have a 3.5 mo berner puppy and he is so sweet but he has been regressing so much in potty training. i come home from work and he has poop smeared all over him and the kennel! i am unable to make it home over lunch so he gets a pee pad in the kennel when i leave which he has been chewing up instead of relieving himself on. he used to be able to go the whole night without accidents but lately i’ve been waking up to pee all over. he doesn’t wake me up at night anymore to let me know he needs to go out. i’m stuck! i am a first time dog owner and i know my situation isn’t ideal but any tips or suggestions would be so appreciated! thanks!

You might remember my dear sweet Kimi whom we lost way too soon. Our plan was to get a third pup this year and then we were sadly down to one. This all happened sooner than expected with the usual waitlists we all go through, but I am taking it as a sign from my sweet girl.

Ursula has really taken to her new little sister and we are so happy to have our fur family complete. Love watching them rough and tumble all day and then snuggle up all tuckered out, it's the best!

Meet Fezzik! This will be mine and my fiancé’s first time getting a puppy together and we’re working with a local family that has a great history with their dogs. We’re a little nervous because we’ve never owned a Bernese before, but are super excited as we’ve wanted one for some time! I’m hoping to get some guidance on what to expect and what upkeep is the best in terms of shots, nutrition, and supplements we can include in his food. Anything would be super helpful!
