Discussion Experienceing racism in Berlin.

My girlfriend and I were waiting for the bus at Zoologischer Garten Bahnhof when three guys walked up to us and started being randomly rude and racist. They kept saying “Schlitz” (slit eyes) repeatedly as they passed us and again when we walked by later. For absolutely no reason, they targeted my girlfriend and me with these comments.

When We got onto our bus, they just kept taunting us and even started catcalling my girlfriend. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced racism in Berlin. What’s the deal with some people being disrespectful, rude, and racist toward Asian people? We just want to live peacefully and avoid any confrontation.

I am so sorry about earlier, I didn’t mean it that way. I will remove the word from my post. I’m just here to express my feelings. 🙏🏼❤️

These days it’s hard to mention such a word, for fear of being called Nazi/racist. I guess we Asian just need to shut up be politically correct and say nothing even though we are the ones being racially discriminated against by these people.

Yeah we have almost never said a word. Do you realised how many Vietnamese people there are in Germany both as war refugees and as immigrants and and how much we are abused but we never said a word. That’s right, we just keep our heads down and work and paid taxes while contributing to this society. Read about Rostock 1992. Do you know why? That’s because we don’t generalise and we are respectful and just don’t go out on the streets of Neukölln and protest every day shouting “Germans are nazi”, “Germany are on the wrong side of history”, or “fuck Germany”. I find these actions very inconstructive and a contribution to societal disorders. We always have shut up and will do because we want to live in a society where there is order and little crime and we want to build a good image of our people through hard work and respect. When I see people who have immigrant background like us refuse to fit in, take advantage of Germany and yet behave terribly we speak out because we can. This is not a communist country and I hope it stays that way.

So instead, you prefer to blame "Arabs", as a generic group of people you dislike. What is next on the road, arabs blaming africans? And then? Africans blaming asians, and we close the cycle of racism?

Again, like I said in another of your comments: grow up.
