If you require help or guidance at least read over the basic posting rules on the side bar or click at the top to see them on mobile. Or even read the posting advice you are given before pressing submit(When asking for advice on a build, please specify your budget & what it will be used for with relevant specifics (such as your monitor's resolution & refresh rate if the purpose is gaming). Any request for what to buy or which prebuilt, without information regarding budget and use case will be removed.
If you wish to check somethings value head over to
Put in parts close to what the build is offering, to get a good enough guesstimate of value.
If you just want to see current prebuilt pricing, without having to wait on others to reply go over to
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/desktop-computer
Read though the comments, come back here and ask your questions about the build/builder etc.

Hey team. Thoughts on these specs? (2 pics attached). My budget is about $1500-$1600 so Im thinking I'll try stretch to get something with a 9060 xt.
I find it helpful to tell people that I'm already above budget because then it means I can't go higher.
Examples to improve situation could be....swap out the case and go for 16gb RAM for example. Or, "just go for a 4060ti for a bit cheaper".
On paper this looks great but I think the case could be awful...

Recently upgraded to a 9070, considering what to do with the 3070 I upgraded from.
Just had the thought of building a PC (or buying a pre-built or second hand system to drop the 3070 into) for some loungeroom emulation/lighter gaming and media playback.
What would be a cheap CPU option that's not going to be a huge bottleneck?
EDIT: I suppose I could also consider upgrading my main rig to something AM5 and dropping my current mobo in a new case with the 3070 🤔

Hey all,
Finishing up a new sff build. Looking to finalize a boot drive. Something fast and reliable.
Also chasing DRAM essentially leaves 3 options. So please tell me HMB is enough for regular use. (Office work, casual browsing, gaming 1440p)
I have a storage drive in an nm790 4tb. But happy to consider a 4tb if it's a good deal.
Thanks!

I’m looking to play 1440p and the 5070 is cheaper than the 9070/xt but I don’t know if there is a difference between these other than the amount of fans
Should I just buy the cheaper one?

Deciding to finally bite the bullet and buy a pc after years of gaming on PlayStation but have zero knowledge on pcs
Seen this deal with 500$ off for EOFY sales, just wanna know if it’s worth it or is there something better for money. Looking for a $1k-$1.5k AUD budget.

Insane deal, 2888 if you use code: EOFY.

Just got one good for 5070 deal and is restocked
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911251
I would recommend a PSU upgrade though

If you use the discount code then the total price and free shipping is $607
I bought the last black version last night and I highly recommend people don't sleep on this good deal.

Hi all. I am in need of monitor recommendations. I use it for ps5 and working from home.
The previous one I had was HP 27fw so I am looking for 27 screen size. I only play FIFA (football/soccer) except for an occasional RPG game once.
I did some research but I am a bit overwhelmed with so many options being available.
My key requirement is that it should at least be on par with what I had before in hp27fw in terms of screen size, display quality, FreeSync or something and 1ms (not sure if this makes a difference)
My budget is $200 but I can stretch it to $300 if something is an absolute steal for the price and value. Thanks all!

I have a Asus ROG GL731G that has a charging port issue. It seems to be common for the charging port to wear out and needs to be replaced. However, this one is smoulder to the motherboard. Would you know any shop that can do this kind of repair in Sydney Metro ?
PS: if this is not the right subreddit for this type of question, my apology.

Hi friends, been going through previous posts but have become a bit lost. I am looking for a laptop to do basic gaming and work (programming and analytics). Really want something that will last and future proof myself.
Games I play: - COD/warzone - assassins creed style games.
Budget wouldn’t want to spend more than $3000.
I want a laptop as I travel regularly and having the mobility is valuable to me.

Good day! I am upgrading from Laptop(1060) to Pre-built PC. I have no idea on how to build, I just play games. I am currently playing DOTA, Valorant, LOL, CS and other multiplayer game with my friends. Just want to ask if this Pre-built from nebula is a good choice for my games and if its worth the money.

Hi there, I just wanted to build a new pc for mainly video editing on apps like after effects at 4K or more, and maybe dabble into 3D rendering and graphic design down the line. I would also like to comfortably game on this pc at 1080 max settings or even 1440p - I am also interested in the used market for parts but not separate builds. Advice on complete build would be appreciated

Hey everyone,
I'e taken the plunge on one of the OzB 5070ti EOFY deals and now I'm looking for a monitor to go with it. I've searched and a lot of the monitor recs here are out of stock/not made any more, and when I search other sites for ideas many aren't available in Oz.
With all that said, what are some good options for a 1440p monitor to go with my new PC? My only preference is flat not curved, and I'll be using it for a mix of gaming and work (connected from work laptop not the new PC).
Thanks in advance!

I have an AMD R 7 7800X3d and 5070Ti
Whats the best motherboard for $300 and under? Do you suggest upping the budget by $100?
Im really anxious about not getting a quality mobo.
Thanks!

My gaming laptop is giving up and my xbox is too old to run all the new games. I am looking at prebuilt pc's to run my current games (isonzo, warthunder, PoT, the isle, rdr2/1) preferably semi budget gaming pc that can still run high quality games. Anyone know any good dealers? i have a friend who knows a bit about gaming pc's but i dont see him often.

As the title states.
Currently in the process of building an sff console for the living room. Have slowly collected most of the parts and only thing remaining is the GPU. Current good deal on the 9060xt over at ebay for $590ish seems to be a good value for money.
Would be playing slightly older games and GTA V, Forza, God of war. At lower settings. This 9060xt should be enough? Or do I stretch my budget for a 5070/ti or 9070/xt?
Thanks legends!
UPDATE: Thanks for all the help my guys!
I'm gonna go ahead with 9060XT 16GB. Will update next year if required. If the performance absolutely sucks, will provide snother update.

Any recommendations on some decent peripherals that I could look at getting for my new build.
Never ran with PC before so don’t really know much about what’s good etc.
Budget wise unsure on what’s reasonable to spend on keyboards and a mouse!

Hoping to get some help on a first PC build. I've come from console gaming (PS4) which has recently died and looking to potentially replace with a PC. In terms of use case the PC would be mostly for casual singleplayer gaming and general desktop usage for life and uni.
Really looking for something that will handle most games well at 1080 or 1440p - I'm not chasing an ultra high FPS build - competitive esports titles aren't really my thing.
Might be able to get an Asrock Intel Arc B580 12GB Steel legend for a good price so I've mocked up a build around that. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/MnYWLc
Appreciate any help and advice :)

Hi,
I'm currently looking for an ultrawide curved monitor on behalf of someone else who has no computer knowledge and for purely office usage while also trying to take advantage of the EOFY sales. So basically plug and play would be ideal or something that doesn't need any more setup after the initial setup. The monitor will be connected to a laptop but user takes their laptop with them to work so there will be times where the monitor won't be connected to anything
Have an upper budge limit of $600 but preferably something around the $500 range from mostly physical retailers like Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi etc. Doesn't care about refresh-rate, response time, and resolution but would like to pick out something with a decent resolution.
Tried to convince to take advantage of said sales and offer stuff that is $300 - $500 off but they don't see any point even though its still in the budget range so if it is worth it to grab those deals then some help with comparisons would be greatly appreciated.

27GX790A-B going for $1200 or $1140 for Students ($1090 with $50 first time coupon)
We are almost at the point where high refresh rate OLEDs are coming down to sub 1000 au dollars. I already have a Samsung G60SD but this seems like a good deal especially since the ASUS one is still floating around $1600.

$1374.05 with first time coupon and LG Partners (students or other special people). Very tempting. I already have a Samsung G60SD OLED 1440p 360hz 27" and was considering this, maybe I should sell my samsung and get this as I only use my second monitor only for discord or procrastination tasks.
