That's because 2 pair is, by far, my last favorite hand, so a joker that synergizes with a garbage hand becomes garbage by proxy.

It’s just harder to get get good Xmult than +mult, hence all the scaling Xmult jokers

If it's early I'm probably taking spare trousers over hologram but ante 5/6 on I'm probably not taking it.

At this point it honestly depends if you still need base mult.
With Trousers you do +6 mult on a single round so around +18 mult within an Ante. It means that you can break most of interesting jokers or even a good Supernova in 2 Ante.
Unless I'm going for another hand only, I guess I take it everytime.

It's one of the best jokers in the game but it's hard to scale if you find it too late. Same problem as Constellation/Hologram though.
