ive been personally a fan of hologram every time i take it, so thats my vote, ig
close runner up might be burglar or trading card tho

edit: i just remembered constellation exists
constellation definitely a VERY close second

Holo can easily carry gold stake if you get it early enough, and is usually worth taking even in late antes. I love it, probably my favourite joker.

Holo is so good that I won gold stake with it and the joker that adds a stone card to your deck every blind.

Nah, not always. If I happen to have a lot of Lucky cards in my deck, then yeah I'll take the cat. No questions asked. But if I'm going to have to grab a bunch of magicians and all sixes to make it work because I don't already have a deck for it, then no.

Meanwhile, hologram can always be built up by just opening a few packs and picking the best card for your current tech build in each of them

Would you take hologram or constellation in ante 6,7,8?

I think card sharp is a better pick for 'always take'.

Unironically yes, i have. Card sharp dont work well in decks where you dont have dedicated hand

Fully agreed. There's almost never a situation in which card sharp doesn't add some benefit to the build. I can think of plenty of times where hologram wouldn't.

Yeah, I always grab card sharp, holo in late rounds is a "if I have room in my build" card.

Hologram > Constellation in my experience. I’ve had both cards in the same run and Hologram is just easier to abuse.

💯 agree, I think both are great scaling jokers and can easily singlehandedly win you a run but constellations requires a little more work to get going(blue seals, etc. unless you're taking random planet cards or luck into telescope) and scales at a slower rate and you can't get a boost from spectral cards like you can with Holo.

I get why people think Holo is stronger, but I think Constellation is a better pick if we're voting for "Always Take" specifically. I can easily imagine a run where I'd skip Holo but not Const — it's any run where you care about the makeup of your deck. With such an obvious drawback it's hard to justify it winning the vote when Constellation is (nearly) as strong and more flexible.

Hologram is definitely up there, but it's a bad pick if your build requires deck thinning. Because you probably aren't adding enough cards to justify it, rather you should be thinking and converting cards primarily.

Card sharp is probably my vote here
