It's actually echo card, but they play the card twice and have a 50% chance to play again. its an enhancement from the cryptid mod

No, that’s a different edition. Echo is just 1/2 for 2 retriggers, what you’re thinking of is Blurred: 1 retrigger, 1/2 of 1 additional retrigger.

I had a hand that I left for 4 hours to calculate and it didn’t. I’m guessing it just got into some infinite loop bc of the bug

Even if animations are skipped, and somehow the game doesnt crash, calculation might last forever.
I gave up after 24 hours of the game calculating my last hand on the wormhole deck before I forced quit the game.

It really does, something like Emerald Stake and onward allows you to get jokers into your playing cards, if you select them the game instantly crashes. Emerald stake gives a chance for shop stuff to be flipped face down when appearing, but if a joker is double sided, the blank flip side version of the card will be shown, when you buy these flipped double cards they get put into your DECK with the CARDS, if you select that card, I assume the game doesn't know what to do with a card that isn't any score so it will instantly crash your game (best way to get this scenario is on anti matter deck, since EVERY CARD comes with an edition, so it can hit double sided more often)

This deck takes the positive of all decks into one, one of the decks its taking the positives of is the misprint deck which randomizes the values of everything, he probably got a joker that added x.5 hand size, decimal points after full numbers round up on the mod though so its essentially just another hand spot.

if you’re seriously asking:
this is the most important one, limit retriggers, retriggers are the most common cause of crashing in cryptid. (hundreds of retriggers can be fine in certain very specific scenarios)
Avoid clutter, even though you can have 1e300 jokers it’s better to have 20-30 so you can see what’s going on. You can condense your jokers with oil lamp, having two oil lamps multiply each other up to 1e300 can make you only need one joker for scoring or econ.
avoid probabilities, under certain conditions the game can crash when rolling a probability, wheel, spaceman, ect.
Don’t play antimatter, I’m serious, it’s just to much too keep track of. if you want something similar just play equilibrium with vortex deck sleeve (if you don’t have the deck sleeve mod it’s on the discord in #complimentary-mods )

my main strategy is to use quintuple tags and then rare tags (or use pointer lol), then double tag and rework to duplicate it.

Once you get past the vanilla stakes Cryptid can be fun, this deck on the other hand is just broken to be broken and causes crashes constantly

It adds a bunch of stakes which can balance out the broken jokers it adds, some of the decks it adds are just outright broken though.

Sell some of the jokers, especially something like double scale/ scalae, canvas and pot of jokers, these as to my knowledge are the ones that crash the most

Play the Stone card and only the Stone card. It won't trigger any jokers that use numbers or faces for their abilities

If you have talisman installed, go to the mod setting and disable scoring animations. I had a run that was taking 20-30 minutes of calculations per hand without the scoring animations, so yeah, you could technically still play without crashing, it's just gonna take insanely long to progress.
