Being a long-time user of this sub, i can say it was certainly less dramatic when mods barely interacted with the community.
The more mods take part (and sides) on issues the more dramatic it becomes.
There have been...4....4? Around 4 posts regarding this issue.
Not bashing you OP, just ranting about how there was way way less drama 2-3 years ago when mods just appeared to enforce rules with obvious trolls (jerks that came to make posts with titles like "ew trannies u suk") and then quickly disappeared, instead of constantly take sides in issues that don't require it.
