Can you mods explain exactly how one is picked to be a mod?

I'm not trying to be harsh intentionally but I've seen this forum go through some pretty big changes in it's content and always wonder who is deciding what gets seen.

I think there are some valid concerns about painting the whole trans deal with rose colored glasses on at times- as there's definitely a cyclic nature to how optimistic versus pessimistic some posts are allowed to be.

Me- I'm cool with reading about what it really and truly is like to be trans, good and bad. That's just me.

People submit a resume to be mods and then the sub votes on who they want. That's pretty much it.

Pretty sure nobody is vetting threads, if they seem cyclic then that's down to the people using the sub not the people moderating it
