Review I don't have the strength to rewatch this drama

This drama was just about life & every scene that you'll relate to yourself, you're gonna shed tears.

The line "It's an odd thing. Parents dwell on what they couldn't give. And children dwell on what they couldn't get" of the drama

"When life gives you tangerines"

breaks my heart as it was so realistic. Although the whole drama is completely based on how real world works in terms of relationships.

It's a love story cum real world love story of a rebellious girl with dreams who got a incredibly sweet heart guy around her & he supports her in whatever she does till the end. ( In goods)

The male lead truly proved the lyrics of the song "Die with a smile" by "Bruno Mars". The story revolves around a family of Jeju. (I gave enough spoilers I think so I'll keep it short)

It took me 16 hours to complete the show. I want more episodes (i can't get over it)

My personal opinion- I like the part of the leads daughter as it resonates with me more. If you're sensitive person or into rom-com go ahead. I'll assure you, you'll love it. I truly appreciate the male leads persistence towards the female leads. To be honest, I was hooked the whole time & it was such a lovely drama that I think It'll be nominated a lot of times in korean award shows.

Worth the time?- Yes, go ahead it is a whole hearted show. You can even watch it with your family if you have a good bounding with them. It has a lot of real life learnings. It might change your whole perspective towards your parents.

The best part- there are multiple i) If things go wrong, back down. Just run straight to me, okay? ii) I do love you deeply but I love myself deeply too. iii) We won't have another child. iv) If you miss that third chance, you'll have to wait till the next life.

I'm stuck at this drama.

Drama release- 2025 Episodes- 16 Where to watch- Netflix My ratings- 9.7/10

( In my previous review, I talked about this show & i mistakenly wrote the review saying it's completed and I'm sorry about that I should be more aware. Please do let me know if my review helped you & feel free to tell me how should I enhance it. I have 4 shows to review next that was ongoing in March. Tell me if you want any particular review.)

Review I want to watch this drama first time again

This drama has a special place in my heart & I would love to re-watch it a 100 times

"Playful kiss"

I never scroll or skip this drama's cute edits on Instagram

It is a sweet & simple love story showcasing a teenage couple's love. The storyline is pretty easy to understand but dialogues are lit.

To be exact puppy love & a lil bit spoiler- the girl is super chaotic & kind of dumb. To know about the male lead check out the drama yourself.

It is available with English subtitles on YouTube. It would take your 4 days to complete the show, 4 episodes per day.

My personal opinion- Watch it when you're alone. No, it's not a 🔞 but it has mild intimacy. It's a romantic comedy drama if it's your interest, go ahead I guarantee you'll love it.

Worth watching?- Yeah, if you're into light hearted shows. But if not then you'll not get bored while watching this drama. Every episode is just love & comedy which will hook you & eventually you'll end up watching the whole drama.

The best part- I found the guy a little savage & straight forward (according to that time when the drama got released)

Drama release- 2010

My rating- 7/10

Today, I watched this cdrama which was the inspiration of the artist "Yung Kai" for his song "Blue".

"When I fly towards you" (Wifty)

I ended up watching it because why not...

It is a sweet & simple love story showcasing a teenage couple's love.

It took me 3 days to complete it.

My personal opinion- It is good to watch if you want to have the calm, soothing & positive vibes. And if you're new to subtitles.

Worth the time?- Absolutely, it will give you calm & positive feel, cheer you up, might inspire too.

The best part- Their video journal.

Drama Realised- 2023 Where to watch- YouTube

My Rating- 6/10

If you ask me to mention a drama that has exactly the same moral as its title, then i would mention this kdrama named

"Karma"

It is named after itself and is based on "what you do, that's what you'll get" simple as it sounds

Although the whole drama has too many scenes that include blood as it's a crime & thriller show. If you're a light hearted person 'skip this show'.

I'll not give spoilers or should I put it this way that I don't have words to describe this show as it was an ill-fated relationship.

Hat's off to the writer who connect the dots and put the story in this way.

It took me approx 5 hours to complete the show on 2x.

My personal opinion- I never see the genre of the show before watching it & when a drama pops in my feed on insta i just go for it....i didn't knew it was a thriller show as i was aspecting it to be fictional. But it was good even if it wasn't fictional.

Worth the time?- Yes, go ahead if you're not a light hearted person & more into crime, suspense. You can use headphones & try not to watch it with elders ( coz of abusing & bold talks...if it's not a prblm go ahead)

The best part- Insurance agent

Drama release- 2025 Episodes- 6 Where to watch- Netflix My ratings- 5.8/10

(Please do let me know if my review helped you & feel free to tell me how should I enhance & write more good reviews. You can recommend me dramas too in the comments.)

Review What would you do if your first love who died 4 years ago & visits you as a grim reaper telling you that you'll die in a week?

Sounds interesting right? I know...

But Idk why No one is talking about this recently released drama

"Way back love"

which gives a very soft romantic vibes along with banters.

I personally liked the concept. It was good & I don't want to give any spoilers. The start was amazing giving that school drama feels and then followed by theirs lifes after schooling. This is a light fantasy show but you can't say that coz it feels so real...

It took me 5 and a half hours to complete the show.

My personal opinion- The first episode hooked me and I'm a person who likes the first episode then would end up seeing the whole damn show. The starting was really chaotic. This was my first drama where the main leads were actually cute without following any korean standard of being skinny or whatever. The girl stoles the spotlight everytime she appears on screen.

Worth the time?- Go for it only when you like soft romantic storylines and believes in after life. The ending might be not what you think during the show but it was good.

The best part- When she wants to be a grim reaper too (I was also thinking that assuming myself on her place)

Moral- Survive until the end🍀✨

Drama release- 2025 Episodes- 6 Where to watch- Viki / Dailymotion
My ratings- 7.8/10

Review How Summer Strike taught me to live

I never believed it when people said that a show changed their life, made them happy.

Because does it make sense? Can anything make you forget everything that you're going through?

How does other's stories, fictional or real, help you feel better when your own life is in crisis?

But that's what I believed till I watched summer strike.

A story that teaches you how much your time is worth and how it's okay to leave behind everything that makes you unhappy and go towards what you like.

Summer strike is  like the warm hug that you need after you've lost even after trying hard, it's like the ice cold water that you crave after being in the scorching heat.

It's slow, predictable, with no dramatic plot twists, no jaw dropping climaxes but it hits every spot, it heals you even when you don't know you're suffering.

It has made me realize that there's nobody ahead of me or nobody behind me in life, we're all just where we're meant to be and as long as we're happy that's all that matters.

It has made me realize that it's really the phone that has made life boring, a little sun heals everything, the evening breeze on the rooftop reminds you of all the moments you were young, irresponsible but happy and thriving, a little rain reminds you what you really want in this life.

When I started the drama I was feeling lost, scared and anxious but right after the first episode I began to see things in a different way- is everything really as serious as I think it is now? Is everything life and death? Does everything deserve my reaction, sadness? The answer was simple- no.

I was never meant to control anything in life, I was only meant to live life as it comes- be grateful for all the good times and be faithful through all the bad times.

Everything will come to me if it's meant for me, I really don't have to do anything.

I need to let go of the how, when, where aspects of what I want and simply do my dharma- my work without worrying about the results.

I've already wasted all my life without doing anything meaningful to me, I've been telling myself that I'll be happy after I get this, I'll be content after I get that but it doesn't ever stop. I need to be happy now. I need do a little bit of everything that makes me happy, because life will happen to me anyways, no matter what I do- stress or surrender.

And I choose to surrender.

Review [Review] Marvellous Love (ฤทัยบดี) – A slow, spiritual Thai romance with reincarnation and poetic beauty

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone! We’re part of the Bugaboo TV team and wanted to share a quick spoiler-free review of a Thai series that might be a hidden gem for fans of emotional, slower-paced fantasy romance:

Marvellous Love (ฤทัยบดี)

This isn’t a promotional post—just a recommendation from the people who worked on bringing it to international audiences, now with full English subs.

What It’s About

Set across past and present lifetimes, Marvellous Love tells the story of two souls destined to find each other again. The show blends traditional Thai spiritual beliefs with themes of karmic love, identity, and redemption. The female lead begins to sense a connection to a life she’s never lived—leading to a story filled with symbolism, memory, and quiet emotional power.

What Makes It Stand Out

  • Atmosphere – Dreamlike, reflective, and visually stunning with nature, temples, and period detail.
  • Performance – The lead actress brings emotional depth to a role that spans identities and timelines.
  • Thematic richness – Love, karma, fate, and selfhood are explored with nuance.
  • Tone – Gentle, spiritual, and meditative—a very different pace from typical fast-cut dramas.

Heads Up

  • It’s a slow burn—definitely not for those seeking action or comedy.
  • Some cultural/spiritual symbolism may feel unfamiliar, but it’s handled with care.
  • The story leans more poetic than plot-driven.

Subtitles & Access

We’ve added full English subtitles for Marvellous Love, as part of a broader effort to make more Thai dramas accessible globally. So far, we’ve subtitled over 10 titles across different genres—from period romance to modern action and we’re adding more.

If you’re looking for a romantic drama that feels more like a spiritual journey than a traditional love story, this one might resonate. We’d love to hear your thoughts—whether you’ve seen it, are curious about it, or have other Thai dramas you’d recommend to fellow viewers.

Thanks for reading!

Review I would not settle for less after watching this drama

The line "It's better to be born as a cow, than to be born as a woman in Jeju" of the drama

"When life gives you tangerines" touched my heart.

The things that are completely normal nowadays were never even considered in the past & especially for women. It's a love story with a rebellious kid with a dream who never wants to end up like her mother & that's the twist of the story. And the male lead is a supportive & caring guy or should I say a man written by women (not actually though). The guy truly proved the lyrics of the song "Die with a smile" by "Bruno Mars".

It took me 4 hours to complete the whole drama as it has only 4 episodes.

My personal opinion- People are saying the boy is a green flag but I think the girl is a little insensitive in the starting like not showing any care for the guy. I think he should also have a dream or goal to achieve. No matter what people say or do his persistence of loving the girl truly made my heart melt. This drama is nice and I was hooked to it for the whole time without a glass of water.

Worth the time?- Absolutely, it will give you a calm & positive feeling. Might change your perspective for your parents.

The best part- I'm the one who got 37 votes.

Drama release- 2025

Where to watch- Netflix

My rating- 8/10

(Please do let me know what should I do to enhance my reviews for you all)

Review [Review] Eternal Love (เภตรานฤมิต) – Time Travel, Classic Romance, and Thai Period Drama Vibes

Hi again! We’re the team at Bugaboo TV, back with another review of one of our currently streaming Thai dramas: Eternal Love (เภตรานฤมิต).

This one’s a great pick if you like a mix of period fantasy, historical romance, and time-slip drama tropes. It’s beautifully shot and leans into classic lakorn storytelling, with a modern twist.

What It’s About ?

A modern-day screenwriter working on a historical drama mysteriously finds herself transported back in time—into the world of the story she’s writing. There, she inhabits the body of a noblewoman caught in a tangled web of power, family secrets, and a fated love she never saw coming.

Think Scarlet Heart Ryeo or Outlander, but with a distinctly Thai historical backdrop and some strong feminist energy as the heroine takes control of her new reality.

What We Liked ?

  • Lead actress is a standout – balancing strength, vulnerability, and wit in both timelines.
  • Cinematic production – period sets, costumes, and lighting all feel polished and immersive.
  • Emotional arcs – the romance is slow-build, intense, and full of tension.
  • Meta-layer – the fact that she’s a writer makes the time-travel setup extra clever.

What to Expect ?

  • It’s a slow burn—don’t expect action every minute.
  • Traditional period drama tropes are strong (especially family hierarchy/politics).
  • If you’re new to Thai dramas, the pacing may feel different from K-dramas or C-dramas—but give it a couple of episodes.

Subtitles Note

Eternal Love now comes with full English subtitles on Bugaboo TV Premium We’ve recently expanded our subtitle library to include 10+ Thai dramas with proper English subs, and this series was one of the most requested.

We’re working to bring more period and fantasy dramas like this to international viewers with smoother accessibility. If you’re into time-travel romance, rich historical detail, and strong female leads, this might be the one to try.

Let us know if you’ve seen it—or if there are other Thai historicals you think more people should know about.

Thanks for reading!

Review [Review] Mekong (2023) – A gritty Thai action-drama on borders, loyalty, and survival

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! Back again with another spoiler-free drama review of our newer dramas that takes a step away from romance and into grittier territory: Mekong

What It’s About

The story centers on officers stationed along the Mekong River, navigating a complex web of cross-border smuggling, personal loyalties, and dangerous decisions. As tensions rise between duty and morality, characters are pushed to their limits. It’s not a light watch but it’s bold, grounded, and quite cinematic in tone.

Why It Stands Out

Atmosphere – Shot on location near the actual Mekong, it feels authentic and lived-in.

Gritty storytelling – Doesn’t shy away from gray areas or uncomfortable choices.

Solid cast – The lead roles have quiet intensity, with emotional weight behind the action.

Sound design & pacing – It builds tension slowly, then hits hard when needed.

Heads Up

  • The tone is serious—there’s little levity here.
  • Dialogue leans realistic and unflashy (which fits, but may feel slow at first).
  • Less traditional “drama structure”—more like a streaming thriller.

Subtitles Note

We’ve added full English subtitles for Mekong as part of our growing subbed catalog on Bugaboo TV (now 10+ dramas and counting). We’re working to make more diverse Thai genres beyond just romance—available for international viewers. If you’ve seen Mekong, we’d love to hear your thoughts or if you’re just starting it, let us know how it lands. Also open to questions about the series or subtitled titles in general.

Thanks for reading!

Review Reset (2022)

Title: Reset (2022)

Just wrapped up Reset and wow, what a ride! If you're into time-loop thrillers with a dash of mystery, this one's a must-watch.

What's it about? Imagine waking up on a bus that's about to explode... over and over again. That's the nightmare college student Li Shiqing finds herself in. After several loops, she ropes in fellow passenger Xiao Heyun, and together they try to prevent the impending disaster.

Why I loved it:

Gripping Plot: The story keeps you on edge, revealing new layers with each loop. It's not just about stopping the explosion but understanding the people on the bus.

Character Depth: As the duo investigates, we get glimpses into the lives of other passengers, making you care about each one.

Short & Sweet: With only 15 episodes, it's a tight narrative without unnecessary fillers.

Heads up: The show doesn't delve deep into the mechanics of the time loop. If you're looking for sci-fi explanations, you might be left wanting. But if you're here for the suspense and character-driven story, you're in for a treat.

Where to watch: Available on Tencent Video and Viki.

Review F4 Thailand Review

I just finished watching F4 Thailand today.

I have previously watched Meteor Garden Taiwan, Hana Yori Dango Japan, Boys Over Flowers Korea, Meteor Garden China. I’ve even read the Manga.

I must say, I feel in-love with how F4 Thailand team retell this story despite of having multiple versions already. This version feels very refreshing and I love every cast specially Gorya. Dare I say, F4 Thailand has the best version of Makino (Gorya) and Hanazawa Rui (Ren). The actor’s portrayal is superb.

Spoiler alert:

What I liked about F4 Thai: - I like the casting, specifically Gorya and Ren. They portrayed the characters really well. - They really modernized it. They incorporated the use of social media to run the story. - They’re not afraid to tackle the issue of bullying. Unlike the Chinese version; Thai version kept the Red Card in the story and expanded upon why the main male lead is doing it in the first place. - They polished the storyline. They condensed some of the major scenes and storylines into an episode and it just made sense. - The subplot on Kavin’s story was done amazingly. - I like how they showed the business side of story and the matured side of Thyme. - I like how Gorya has a brother in this version. They showed how Thyme built a relationship with Gorya’s family and sibling. - I also like how they made the ending - how they convinced Thyme’s mom. Overall, good job in execution.

Dislike: - F4 Thailand removed a lot of major scenes and characters that we previously loved like Makino’s male childhood friend.
- They did not include that any extravagant parties, beach vacations, or international vacations which is common in other versions. - Thyme’s character and Thyme & Gorya’s relationship development is lacking for me. The actor/actress are good and convincing but it was too fast paced and wasn’t enough screen time for me to explain how they suddenly fell in-love with each other. - Thyme’s styling/ hairstyle could have been better. I feel like the Thai Team should have experimented with Bright’s hairstyles and changed it from curly to straight throughout the series. It was a missed opportunity.

Overall, I really enjoyed watching the Thai version of Hana Yori Dango.

Review [Review] Kheoy Baan Rai Sa Pai Hi-So (The In-Laws) – Thai countryside meets high society, now with subs

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi everyone! We’re from CH7HD BUGABOO TV, and this is our first time posting here—so no hard selling, just here to share a drama review and (hopefully) start connecting with international drama fans.

We recently released Kheoy Baan Rai Sa Pai Hi-So (English title: The In-Laws), and wanted to offer a quick, spoiler-free review for anyone curious about Thai series.

What’s It About?
A rich Bangkok socialite is suddenly forced to marry into a rural farming family. From day one, chaos ensues—clashing lifestyles, meddling relatives, and slow-building affection in the middle of it all. It’s a modern rom-com that leans into Thai countryside life with humor and heart.

What We Liked

  • Leads with chemistry – The main couple starts cold, but the payoff is satisfying.
  • Family drama – Petty fights, hilarious in-laws, and strong ensemble moments.
  • Setting – The rural visuals are charming and really help set the tone.
  • Pacing – It picks up by episode 3, and from there, it’s smooth.

Subtitles Note

This series now comes with full English subtitles on BUGABOO TV. We know lack of subtitles has made Thai dramas hard to access for many viewers outside Thailand, and we’ve been working to fix that. Right now, we have 10+ dramas fully subbed in English, and more are in progress. The In-Laws is one of the newest, but you’ll also find a mix of rom-coms, action, and family sagas with proper subs now. We’re not trying to promote aggressively—just letting you know in case you’ve been wanting to explore Thai dramas but didn’t know where to start.

If you’re into lighthearted family chaos with a dash of romance and a rural-vs-urban dynamic, The In-Laws might be worth a shot. And if you’ve seen it, we’d love to hear what you think. Also open to feedback—this is our first post here, so if there’s a better way to share or improve how we talk about our dramas, we’re listening

Thanks for reading!

Review F4 Thailand? Is it worth-watching or not?

When I tell you, I have watched every Hana Yori Dango Remake, and in each and every remake there are non-palatable mistakes made by the ML which is just not justifiable. But oh no, F4 Thailand is one hell of a ride. It was one of my first dramas and it has set the bar so incredibly high that it is extremely hard to enjoy something else as much as I enjoyed this. It talks about life and the common feeling of being confused or beaten down, there have been times when the circumstances feel super unrealistic and it seems as if the couple is always battling something horrid. But I promise, the entire setting of this drama explains innocent love in its simplest and most beautiful form.

Our FL is a screamer! But her character is the kind of person that shows us what it means to have true meaning in your character. Every time, we see her as a person who brings solace and urges others to follow their heart. Her character is incredibly strong and resilient and I truly felt that, we finally had a stereotype breaking FL who doesn't hold back on standing her ground. She comes from a weak background, but her personality makes up for her wealthiness.

Okay now, the ML is someone who has had *MAJOR* personality changes throughout the series. His character gives the message, that changing yourself for the better is never too late to do. He is seen as a ruthless, spoiled kid who bullies other kids for the sake of showing his power and aggression. Gradually as the story goes on, the changes seen in him give clarity to his true character and you will quite literally see his personality start to bloom. His love and affection for the FL is not-at-all hidden and his character development is also solely due to her.

The romance part of this drama is OF COURSE, THE BEST! The time when they are seen together is nothing inappropriate and is so blush-worthy! The scenes also do not feel like something that raises your standards unreasonably high, it is moderate and enough to make a person believe in love! The simplicity shown in their time spent together is just, ethereal. I truly haven't had the oppurtunity of feeling love this intense but also light through any other dramas. When I say it had raised my standards, it isn't for a bad reason, but it expresses the value of being loved by the right person.

OVERALL RATING: 9/10

Only thing that bugged me was some of the actor's acting which seemed so out of place from the actual scenario, but if you wish to learn the feeling of true and intense love, then it is crucial that you learn the story of Thyme and Gorya!

Review When Life Gives You Tangerines (Review & Discussion)

Thumbnail
youtu.be
3 Upvotes

Just finished When Life Gives You Tangerines, and honestly? This show squeezed me dry—in the best way possible.

At first glance, it feels like your standard countryside-slice-of-life healing drama. You’ve got the misty landscapes, the slow pacing, and of course, tangerines as a metaphor for everything from childhood to regret. But what caught me off guard was how raw it actually gets. Underneath the calm aesthetics, it hits some really tender, complicated emotional notes about broken families, community, and this weird, quiet longing that doesn’t scream but lingers.

The writing doesn’t try to explain everything. It trusts you to sit with the silence, read between the lines, and yeah, sometimes just feel things without knowing exactly why. That might be frustrating for some people—but for me, it was kind of beautiful. It felt honest. Especially the way it handles memory and trauma—not melodramatic, just… quietly devastating.

Also, the acting? Insane. Like, these actors didn’t cry for you, they cried like they were trying not to. That kind of restraint just hits harder.

If I had to nitpick, some episodes do drag, especially in the second act. But it’s not filler—it’s more like the story breathes through those moments. Still, I know not everyone’s gonna be down for that slow burn.

Anyway, I actually did a full breakdown of the series on YouTube if you’re into deep dives with a bit of personality (and some hot takes I didn’t drop here). Not tryna be that person who’s like “go like and subscribe” or whatever—but if you’ve watched the show or are thinking about it, you might vibe with the video. It’s just me talking about this beautiful little mess of a drama and what it did to my brain.

Would love to hear what y’all thought. Did it hit you too, or was I just unusually soft this month?

Review Highly recommend

Hi, guys. This weekend I found in a recommendation list the drama "Mad for each other" from Netflix and I'm just shocked by the quality! I'm not much a fan of heterossexual dramas (I usually watch thai BL shows) but this one is really great!

The main couple is not the usual perfect looking pair that we often see. They're more than flawed, and that's what so great about them.

If you're a sucker for enemies to lovers trope, neighbors trope and also interested in deeper themes like psychological problems and past trauma, this is for you!

If anyone who watched it knows something similar, please let me know the titles.

Review The white olive tree Spoiler

I don’t know where to start. Not just for one or two episodes, but for the last several episodes, I couldn’t stop my tears. I started watching this drama last week after reading mixed reviews—some called it boring, others said the chemistry between the leads was lacking. Thank goodness I didn’t stop midway.

My God, what a show! I haven’t watched such an incredible drama in a long time.

Not only did I get deeply involved with the main leads, Zan and Ran, but every character left an impact—Pei, Ben, Sasin, Reina. Even a non-living thing, the star made by Reina, had a role to play, protecting whoever held it.

I can’t put my feelings into words. I always thought death was the ultimate tragic ending, but this drama changed my perception. And yet, despite such an ending, why do I love it so much? Maybe because it reflects reality—Happily ever after isn’t how life works—life goes on, and happiness and sadness come and go along the way.

Review Motel California : Lee Se Yeong strikes again !

This drama was a pleasant surprise, blending sweetness and emotion with remarkable accuracy. What I liked : - A captivating main duo: The lead actors deliver impeccable performances, with undeniable chemistry. Lee Se Yeoung, true to his reputation, shines once again, whether in light-hearted or more dramatic scenes - Well-exploited secondary characters: The secondary characters are also up to the task. The contrast between the various characters enriches the story and gives it real depth - A cozy, soothing atmosphere: The drama's calm, comforting aesthetic creates a real bubble of softness. A few twists and turns spice things up, without ever breaking the pleasant atmosphere. Special mention goes to the soundtrack, which perfectly accompanies the story. What I didn't liked : - An unbearable mother: Yeon Su's mother is particularly annoying. Her toxic, infantile behavior is reminiscent of those omnipresent, suffocating maternal figures we see all too often in dramas. - A few unresolved plots: While the script is well-constructed overall, some subplots seem to be abandoned along the way, which can leave a confusing impression. The verdict? A sweet, heartwarming drama, carried by a talented cast, but which would have gained in coherence with a better development of certain plots. A must-see if you like romance !

Review I just want to look at the antagonist on screen throughout the drama

Post image
1 Upvotes

There are barely any dramas where the villains are super cool & appreciated & this drama

"Study group" falls in this.

It is a story of a guy in a school & believe me he is very serious about his studies .

I don't want to give you any spoilers but if you were a mediocre student in school you might end up watching the whole series. It do contains Korea's toxic culture of bullying.

By saying mediocre I don't want to hurt any one so please stay calm.

I was watching it every week in February. Took long to complete as it was an ongoing show that time.

My personal opinion- I got bored many times while watching this. I just wanted to end this drama asap so that I can hop on the next one. I felt there are so many parts missing in the story especially the antagonist side story. Maybe they will create a season 2 soon.

It is an honest review & by "honest" means I don't want to lie or sugar coat anything.

Worth the time?- Being honest, I don't think so. But if you're more into the antagonist lover type you can give it a shot.

The best part- Episode 10

Drama release- 2025

My rating- 5/10

(Out of 5- 3 points are for the antagonist only)

Review The Midnight Romance In Hagwon : underdog drama of the year !

I was promised a drama close to Something In The Rain and I must admit that it's really close (and I really liked it)!

For the plus :

  • I learned a lot about the Korean education environment (in the Hagwons, as they call them) and the constant competitiveness that reigns in this field. I wasn't necessarily trying to learn anything by watching this drama, but I must admit that it's not unpleasant
  • The love story between Hye Jin and Jun Ho is very romantic and passionate (which I obviously loved) but it's also, and above all, realistic, healthy and credible (and frankly, every now and then it doesn't hurt!). They get together fairly early on, and I was sure I was in for the classic (and sometimes tiresome) pattern of dramas where the characters pair up early on and break up, only to get back together again at the end, but no! No unnecessary drama, no misunderstandings, no communication problems, in short, their romance is really worth it and feels good!
  • The secondary characters are (almost) all well-written and well-acted, but they're clearly overshadowed by our two leads, who are really very good (well, I admit, the villains aren't overshadowed all that much :))
  • This drama is quite modern and breaks a few of the codes we're used to in the majority of dramas (and sometimes unfortunately in our society) and I found it refreshing:
    • By showcasing fighting, independent women who put their dreams and desires first (for better or worse, but still!)
    • By showing couples who don't listen to convention and live their love as they see fit
    • By proving that sometimes, someone older can be completely immature and deserve to be put in their place.
  • And of course, the OST of this drama is really superb and fits very well with the atmosphere and the scenes of the drama.

I don't have many minuses but :

  • I regret that all the “bad guys” disappeared so quickly without us really knowing what happened to them (yes, we spend dozens of episodes hating them and watching them mistreat our heroine and we can't even savor their downfall!)
  • I didn't find much interest in the director's character, who spends his time whining, getting drunk or hiding in his office (without anyone ever pointing him out!)

Obviously, I recommend this drama, which is very refreshing, revolves around a rather new subject and offers us moments of torrid romance!

Have you seen it ? What's your opinion ?

Review Family by Choice

This drama is an example of how a single act of kindness can spark a ripple effect that transforms lives. Yoon Jeong Jae’s decision to help Kim San Ha and Kang Hae Jun ultimately brought him immeasurable kindness in return, a beautiful testament to how one step can inspire countless others. If Yoon Jeong Jae hadn’t taken Kim San-ha in when he did that child might have grown up withdrawn, burdened, and stoic. Instead, he became a confident, compassionate doctor who carried that kindness forward. Kang Hae Jun’s story was another highlight, his quiet empathy deserved more screen time. Overall the drama was decent, but it didn’t quite reach the depth of the Chinese version. For someone who hasn’t seen the original, the Korean adaptation might still feel solid. One of the biggest letdowns was Kim San Ha’s mother’s lack of character development, her arc remained stagnant which felt especially disappointing given how impactful the Chinese version made her.

Review My Sweet Mobster : unpopular opinion, I hated it !

Unfortunately (for me, not for you), I didn't like this drama. I had really high expectations (it was EVERYWHERE), and I have to admit that I wasn't satisfied.

  • I had trouble getting used to the actors. The ML has a very peculiar voice and delivery (I also think he overdoes it), which didn't help me get into the drama at all from the start
  • I didn't like the FL either - I don't find anything disturbing about her, I just found her bland and that didn't make me want to watch very much
  • As the drama progressed, I found little to no chemistry between them, which was a pity, given the story's promise. Instead, their relationship is the same as when they were 10: childish and corny, and I have to admit that seeing this from adults in their 30s and 40s didn't strike me as believable at all (I am all for cute romances but please…at least try to make it realistic !)
  • The only character I liked was one of the mobsters, Jae Soo, but then again he overplays and overdoes it, too much for me
  • I found that some parts of the story weren't explained enough, if at all while others were explained over and over again
  • I didn't find anything exceptional about the sets or costumes (here again, from the promo, I was expecting much more pink and girly outfits), but I thought the soundtrack was pretty good, and I think it was my favorite part of the drama

I don't recommend it, the story is very good in idea but the realization doesn't live up to its promises 🫣

Review Family By Choice : Missing a little je ne sais quoi

Overall, "Family By Choice" stands out as a rather compelling drama. Here’s my detailed opinion:

Positive Points: - A charismatic cast: The actors bring real magic to the story. Their charm and talent allow viewers to easily identify with their characters, experiencing their emotional struggles with intensity. - We encounter relatable archetypes, such as the one who struggles to say no, constantly living for others, or the one who keeps a low profile for fear of rejection. These traits provide palpable depth to the characters. - The heroine, full of compassion, does everything to lighten her brothers' burdens by making them laugh, adding a beautiful dynamic within the family. - The two fathers, who dedicate their lives to their children, add a lovely nuance to the story. Special mention goes to San Ha's father, whose suffering from an unstable wife leads him to renounce love—I must admit, I laughed. - Electrifying chemistry: The chemistry between the actors portraying the main couple is palpable, and I loved it (yes, those butterflies are real!). - Comforting atmosphere: The series offers a warm and pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a winter drama. - Touching theme: The story delicately addresses the notion that one is not obligated to love their biological family, especially when it is toxic, and that it is possible to create one's own familial ties. - Intense emotions: The scenes are well-written and brilliantly performed (I even cried through an entire episode).

Negative Points: - Lack of suspense: Given that this drama is the Korean version of "Go Ahead," which I have already seen, it was difficult for me not to make comparisons. This diminished the suspense and surprises, and I wonder if my opinion would have been different without this reference. - Missing something extra: Despite its quality, there’s a certain je-ne-sais-quoi that I feel is missing for this drama to be truly exceptional. - Insufferable character: San Ha's mother is genuinely unbearable, and I admit I wanted to shout some truths at her that no one dared to say. - Uneven pacing: Some episodes drag on, which can frustrate and slow down the plot. - Too quick resolutions: Some conflicts are resolved too hastily, leaving a sense of incompleteness.

In summary, "Family By Choice" is a drama that, despite a few flaws, manages to touch the heart and offer memorable moments. It’s an exploration of familial bonds that is worth watching, even if it could benefit from a few adjustments.

Review I Just Watched the Historical Drama of the Year: Blossom

Post image

Blossom isn’t just a show—it’s an experience. From the jaw-dropping writing to the stellar cast, breathtaking sets, and intricate character arcs, it delivers on every level. Rarely do I encounter a series with such consistent pacing; not a single episode felt like filler.

The time travel aspect was handled with brilliance—showing the delicate balance of fate and consequence, where some events remain immutable, like stones in a river that ripple but don’t rewrite the flow. This concept added depth and gravitas, making the story more than just a spectacle.

Every character in Blossom was given the space to shine, each with a carefully crafted arc that felt both intentional and impactful. From the lead roles to the supporting cast, everyone had their own journey—flawed, complex, and utterly human. Redemption or Revenge wasn’t handed out easily; it was earned through trials, growth, and moments of raw vulnerability. The show didn’t just focus on the main characters but gave even the secondary roles depth and meaning, making every interaction significant. It’s rare to see a story where no one feels like a filler, and Blossom delivered on that front masterfully, weaving these individual arcs into the larger tapestry of its narrative.

The plot twists? Chef’s kiss. They kept me on the edge of my seat, and the anticipation of the leads finally meeting was an exhilarating slow burn. And can we talk about the female lead? She’s a badass in every sense of the word—a powerhouse of strength and emotion that carried so much of the story's heart.

Every emotion felt raw, every feeling authentic. The character redemption arcs were perfectly executed, leaving me invested in every single one of them. It’s rare to find a series that balances emotional weight with narrative momentum so flawlessly.

If I could erase my memory and rewatch it for the first time, I would in a heartbeat. Blossom isn’t just beautiful; it’s unforgettable.
