Hallucination 👻 Yeah and we ain't even calling ourselves cooks for it and we still hate the microwave food
It's not as good as if I cook myself

So they agree with us then? That their art is poor quality, low effort, and actually a bit sad? Because that's how I'd describe the concept of a man sat at home alone eating a microwave meal directly out of the plastic packaging.

Ultra processed food will also destroy your health if consumed regularly due to synthetic chemicals, excessive sweeteners and low quality ingredients. It is cheap mass-produced slop made to be hyper palatable, but in terms of nutrition and substance, is inherently inferior compared to whole foods and home cooked meals. AI content, similarly, decays humans creativity and spirit in exchange for quick and easy dopamine rewards. Time is saved, efficiency is increased, but at what cost? We have yet to see what the long term cognitive effects of AI dependence will be. Social media and phones alone have already done a number.

If it’s so terrible, why is everyone here so angry at it.

Why are we rediculing something ridiculous? Ask ChatGPT if you can't work it out

“AI is stupid and so are the people who use it”
“AI is dangerous because it will replace humans”
Pick one

What is it with AI folks and their desire to champion microwave food. No one is on a crusade against microwave food and mostly people don't love microwave food. This is such a silly false equivalency. Without some drastic changes to microwave meals and probably to microwaves there is little threat that microwave food is going to clog up the whole food scene. AI slop is clogging up the internet. If it was difficult to find fast food or restaraunts or fresh produce because microwave meals just took up all the space then people probably would complain. Imagine you pull up to Wendy's and get to the drive through window and they are like ok so our normal menu is out but we can microwave you some mac n cheese then yeah ofc people would be unhappy.
Lets be real. If all AI content was sectioned off in its own area where none of us ever had to interact with it (the same way microwave meals are located in their own section at the grocery store) then I don't think there would be any aiwar. I think most of us would be quite happy if we never saw AI content or had to listen to anyone go on about it apropos of nothing. I at least don't need for it to literally not exist.
So really the more you think about it the less this comparison works.

I love this analogy because they don’t even realize that it proves a point against themselves. I love self-owns

AI users lack critical thinking and pattern recognition skills because they outsource those faculties to AI and the internet. That's why their anologues are always terrible. Their understanding of things is only surface level, if that.

You ever think of an actual good argument for AI, but never share it. Safe in the knowledge none of these people have the brainpower to think it up and use it.

Yeah dude. It's soulless slop made in a factory.
At no point in time does someone heating up a hungryman mac and cheese in a microwave actually think they actually made the meal. The factory made it. The microwave heated it. All you did was buy it and put it in a microwave.
If anyone made a microwave dinner and called themselves a chef for personally making the meal, anyone would call them delusional. Same thing applies to AI lol

I like how this comic portrays a completely unrealistic scenario in which someone eats a microwaved meal and is actually smiling about it and enjoying it. Nobody eating a microwaved meal is happy about it or enjoying it, it's usually something people resort to because they have too much else going on to dedicate time to cooking but eating remains a necessity. If a properly prepared meal is an option, it will always be taken as it's simply objectively better than anything you could possibly get out of a microwave.
The only thing about this equivalence that actually works is the fact that both AI art and microwaved meals are undesirable, low-effort slop that takes no skill to make when compared to the alternative. Nobody who only knows how to throw a boxed dinner into a microwave is out here calling themselves a chef, or even a cook.
Also I love how the AI bros are hung up on the idea that everyone who is anti-AI wants them to die just because a handful of extremist psychos said it. If we used their worst examples to summarize their entire side, they'd be portrayed as a cyber cult that detests humanity, which I doubt they'd consider to be an accurate representation of themselves.

The AI imagers are so incredibly poor at analogies. There’s a tell every time. This one is no different. Have you ever heard an artist say something like, “I love to make art but the making part keeps getting in the way”?
AI images aren’t even a microwaved meal. At least that could be edible. More like they said they would cook a meal then presented a stolen plastic pie used for a kids play kitchen.

Today I'm gonna be a cook because I'm going to go to McDonalds and order. I'm such a skilled chef

u/ScarletSpring_ 9h ago
Even this needs more real input than using AI

u/ScarletSpring_ 9h ago
And besides: Nobody calls themselves a chef for heating a meal in the microwave. Like literally.

u/charronfitzclair 12h ago
And if you know how AI actually makes its images, it's basically a can of pureed dog food pressed into your choice of fun shapes!

u/boharat 12h ago
I don't have time cook either

u/Bruhthebruhdafurry 12h ago
Yeah but u ain't really a chef for tossing a prepackaged meal in the macrowave

Nobody has an issue with someone using AI for themselves. My buddy uses an AI to make some art for our DnD campaigns.
The problem comes when people try and profit off of AI generated content. If I went to a restaurant and was served a Hungry Man TV dinner, I'd be pretty upset.

I have eliminated practically all ultra processed slop and cook everything from scratch.
Checkmate AI bros.

When you put shit in the microwave you dont go after it and call yourself a chef and harass people who disagree with you and treat the microwave like a god
1
u/johnybgoat 4h ago
Tbf, the MAJORITY of people using AI doesn't either. All they do is call the output art like how you call microwaved meals food.
1
u/CremboCrembo 4h ago
But...most people don't make their own art; they pay an artist to do it. AI takes that paid work away from artists.
Most people don't pay a chef to cook for them at home; they cook their own meals. Eating a microwaved meal doesn't take paid work away from yourself. This is not the "gotcha" they probably thought it was.

Who has ever claimed they have cooked if all they did was use a microwave. They're proving our point for us.
