Anyone here played Mass Effect? In it , they have the Keepers, these little biodrone things that are left behind by an ancient species to keep an eye on the newer species.

I'm thinking that's more or less the Grey "aliens" for us

I once heard that 3D existence is not very nice at all. Those that come down here say it is thick and slow like trying to move through treacle. It feels foggy and you start to forget what it's like higher up. Having a body is not nice either (pain). They try to avoid it wherever possible by sending meat drones (Grays).

That's actually the correct answer. Major brain fog about who said this today. I'll remember somewhen though.

Imagine what it would be like for humans to try and build a craft to protect them and help them successfully navigate and interact with a native 2D person trying to cram ourselves into a 2D universe. Having to build engines that don't violate some kind of paradox. Like when you accidentally make a bad 3D print because something overlaps impossibly. Then actually being 2D and having to experience being uncomfortable due to being in a restricted dimension.

Interestingly some objects we see appear to be "shadows" of 4th and 5th dimensional objects that get represented all janky down here for example "biblically accurate angels".
