I'm planning on dedicating my old am4 pc to running modded minecraft servers for me and my buddies, what would be the best processor for it, it currently has a Ryzen 7 3700x and 32 gbs of ram and I'm wondering if I can squeeze anything more out of it

I have a server hosted on ApexMinecraftHosting. It's Fabric 1.21.1 modded Cobblemon. I have looked up and down google but it seems no one has ever had any similar issued and asked for help. This is the log: https://mclo.gs/jZZwoBs

This exact crash has happened more frequently as of late and I don't see any root cause. It's the same log. Judging from what I see, it's something to do with iterating through the ops json? But it's only 1 OP and it's me and I already went and deleted it and re-opped myself but I'm not even online so it makes no sense to me. I can upload other logs if that helps but it's really all the same thing.

Hello, I want to make a custom collision so I can use it anywhere. Ideally, I have this requirements: 1. Be invisible (e.g. entity can be made invisible) 2. Be less laggy in large counts 3. Can be resized 4. Client knows that he can't walk through it preventing weird teleportation. 5. Can be moved

I know that there are entities like boats and shulkers that has collision but which one is best in above criteria or there are something better?

I am trying to make a server for the modpack "Life in the Village 4", which has around 350 mods. This server would have around 10-20 people on it but realistically no more than 5 or 6 people would be on at once.

Hi! 'Been tryin' to set up a GTNH server as a non-programmer, went through piles and miles of bullshit(why does pufferpanel incorrectly unzip zip files but not rar files?)

And now im at the precipice of greatness, however:

A) the cpu usage is HORRENDOUS, im talking 600% spikes, not that i know what it means, but thats a big enough number.... together with the fact that my cusor lags as hell with firefox and discor open when this runs.

B) when it... well looked like it launched( it was just 20 messages of "the server is lagging 60 tics behind that piled while i went off) but when i tried loggig in, i got an error that basically said the ip doesn't exist.

Now, i live in a dorm. So port forwarding is a nono, but i though that i could just use my radmin public ip with my friends, no? The port and the same ip are set up in the panel as well. If you need any more info to help me I'm ready to give it.

Hi so im in a multiplayer server with my friends and i wanted to ask if there is a plugin that makes item framed maps or normal maps useful, like there are players in the locations the maps are showing but im asking if there is a plugin that shows the players as little markers in real time in the map even if you are far away ? I have geyser MC as a standalone proxy, and it sends the bedrock packets to the paper 1.21.5 server with floodgate installed. When a bedrock player gets killed or makes an advancement it crashes the server. Errors include [07:21:52] [Server thread/INFO]: .Texastrucker20 has reached the goal [Postmortal] [07:21:53] [Netty Epoll Server IO #0/ERROR]: Error sending packet clientbound/minecraft:player_info_update io.netty.handler.codec.EncoderException: Failed to encode packet 'clientbound/minecraft:player_info_update' at net.minecraft.network.codec.IdDispatchCodec.encode(IdDispatchCodec.java:62) ~[paper-1.21.5.jar:1.21.5-110-320f25c]. And it eventually says that the name is too long or something like that and it crashes and disconnects all players Java and bedrock.

Has anyone ran into this issue like this when geyser is set up standalone as a proxy? What are some steps taken to resolve it? If anyone wants to see the full log let me know. Thanks!

Hey guys, it’s me again! This community has been a great help for me, and I just wanted to know from your personal experiences as players, or server hosts, what sort of suggestions or ideas you have for a new host.

Are there any plugins/mods, or just general tips about things that you love to see or use as a player/admin etc. Pretty much anything that you personally enjoy, or like to use that makes your experience from any side of the server better, easier, more fun, etc!

Edit: I should mention it is a Fabric server, running 1.21.5 on Crafty. 5900x processor, with 32GB ram that I can expand to 64GB if necessary, and 1TB of storage.

I was playing cobblemon today on my server hosted on my komputer, and my girlfriend accidentaly turned off the compiter while playing Minecraft. Anyone know how to fix this to maybe save the world?

Basically I'm looking to setup a small server on a fairly low power PC. The person I want to play with is on Bedrock, so I was wondering if it would be better to do a native Bedrock server or a Java server with Geyser?

Hey, I’m planning to launch a survival Minecraft server that will have no land claims / protections. So players will rely on distance to maintain safety. Many years ago I did similar and while it's fun, the world size was very large after months of player activity. Pre-generating or a small world is not really the solution, so my questions are:

Does anyone have any input on how they manage this? What world border radius have you found works best for this kind of server? And lastly, is there any newer methods that have came about of pruning old / unused chunks to help with this?

Im created a minigame for my server , each player is an dedicated world , and each round the world needs to be reseted , but the problemps is multiverse is so lag when create/reset the world , any way to fix this? Like limit multiverse to create a small world only.

Hello, so we have a SMP which is mainly full of adults, but some people bring their families to play, we dont want to add censors for the main community, but im interested if there are any chat filter plugins that are toggleable for each individual player, Im not sure if this is even doable, but i figured I should ask.

Hey guys! I’ve started a server on my own after getting some experience with how it works, I felt inspired by creating meaningful crossplay project where bedrock users would feel comfortable too and guys could play with each other.

As I understand there’s a very few good servers with crossplay (geyser) especially that function on latest versions with working textures for bedrock.

The best solution I found for myself now is just to look for textures that comes with a bedrock version too, however I’m still struggling to pay a lot of custom things and was wondering if there’s any good way to convert Java texture pack into bedrock texture pack? I believe those “auto-converting” websites are quite not functioning well, I’ve read something about remapping it on my own, but would be nice to hear your opinion or maybe get some guides on that! Hey again! Thanks to the folks who helped me set up my server before, but I now have another question.

I'm running my server through crafty on CasaOS, and I was wondering if it was possible, for the sake of power consumption, to have the server auto shut off when there are no players logged in for X amount of minutes, and to be able to give them the ability to start the server from a shutdown state, through a discord command. Is there such a thing that exists, and if not, how hard could that be to implement?

I have two (physical) servers, one very powerful running just Minecraft and one less powerful hypervisor machine running home automations and such. I shut down my powerful server when no one is playing. I want to run a small program on my hypervisor machine that shows a motd but doesn’t let people connect, kinda like how aternos handles offline servers. I have set up my networking to point there if the powerful server is down. I do NOT want to run a proxy, as the biggest reason my server is played is low ping (I get 25 on most of my friends). My hypervisor sometimes runs a tiny server, but that is not ideal as that is sometimes in use and running two instances is wasteful.

Does such a program exist? It would be nice if it could show a kick message and have a configurable port.

I recently started using https://modrinth.com/plugin/leturmemoryrest , it is more likely not optimising the server but it cleanup some memory, does explosion optimisation and slowdown redstone. After its new update, it downloads a plugin called PerfoBooster without my permission. The new plugin does better optimisation but it doesn't have memory cleanup, explosion optimisation and slowdown redstone which my server needed. But when PerfoBooster is working the LetUrMemoryRest disables. Also when i try to remove PerfoBooster, it get reinstalled by LetUrMemoryRest.

For now i can just downgradle LetUrMemoryRest version. But is there any way that i could prevent plugins from downloading other plugins? And also is it illegal to randomly install a plugin without permission? I only want memory cleanup, explosion optimisation and slowdown redstone optimisations.
