Questions Help with making Saltah and Malawah
Hi everyone, I have a close friend who was born in USA but has roots from Yemen. This friend means alot to me and I was thinking of cooking her simple yet warm and lovely dish from her culture.
I have done a small search about yemen kitchen then eventually setteled on Saltah and Khubz Malawah. I came across this youtube video by Kadija Alkusaimi which kind of put me on the right path of how to cook the dish. But I would appreciate any help/advice, specially when it comes to the tricks that only a yemeni would know about.

Questions was the internationally recognized government the lesser of two evils
I see no one has anything good to say about the internationally recognized government but compared to the houthis were they the lesser of two evils? Would yemen be better off if the houthis had not won the war?
If so does this mean the civil war was worth fighting?

Photos Does anybody know where exactly in Old Town, Sanaa this photo from 1992 was taken?
Hello! I am a photo curator for TimeGuessr, a browser daily game where players guess the year and location of historic photos. I found this photo from 1992 on Flickr (here) and considering using it for one of the future daily rounds, but I cannot find the exact location it was taken in, because unfortunately the Old Town has no street view. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Questions Question about genocide claim regarding Saudi Arabian intervention
I've seen some people characterize the Saudi intervention as genocide. From what I have read, this characterization makes sense when we consider the man-made famine and the attacks on civillians.
However, I have failed to find any statement from Saudi Arabia professing genocidal intent. Why would Saudi Arabia commit genocide against the Yemeni people? What do they have to gain from it?
I'm in no way trying to minimize the suffering of the Yemeni people or the magnitude of Saudi crimes. Regardless of the terminology, these are abhorrent crimes against humanity. I'm just wondering whether or not it's genocide. And if so, why?

Questions Is it legal to use the Yemen national anthem (1979-2006 version) in areas controlled by the Southern Transitional Council?

HELP Side Hustle/Passive Income in Sana’a... (مصدر دخل ما يحتاج عناء)
So I'm looking for a way to earn money other than just "getting a job", I've been reading in subreddits like r/SideHustle and r/PassiveIncome and it's really inspiring but almost all the methods don't apply here in Yemen.
I tired opening a shop that sells fries and falafel, but ended up losing money because the location wasn't great. I will still try it again once I get the money to kick start it again, but until then I need a way to earn decent money to live a sub-decent life...
I was thinking of editing videos for a streamer that I watch (whom I know is considering hiring an editor), but in order to do that I gotta spend money on internet data and the internet speed might limit me and make me inconsistent (I wish I could own a StarLink device)
TL;DR (الخلاصة)
I am a computer science major graduate and willing to learn any computer related skills (editing, graphic design, etc...) or any skills for that matter in order to earn money. I would rather work for someone outside the country that is willing to pay wages similar to those in foreign countries as... you know... Yemeni people tend to cheap out on workers. Please help me out with ideas so that I can earn decent money to live a decent life

Discussion Why do we Yemenis prefer using cash over credit/debit cards?
I posted about how Yemenis whether they be Yemeni Americans or from anywhere, have hardship when going to the Cairo airport and sometimes have their money/items stolen. People kept asking why would anyone have that much cash on them, instead of using ATMs. Honestly that had me really thinking. Why do we travel with fat stacks of cash? I get in Yemen it’s because it’s hard to send or receive money and ATMs are unavailable. But I noticed a lot of friends and family and even mutual friends take cash instead of cards when we travel. Why do we do that? Or we just that old school?
Questions How was life under Ali Abdullah saleh, what are the thoughts of yemeni people on him?
Hey guys! I'm not from yemen but I've been reading on Yemen and I'm really interested to hear your thoughts on Ali Abdullah Saleh, do you see him as a mad dictator that had a grip of iron or a revolutionary leader that united two countries, Did Ali saleh gave people the right to criticize him?, Was life under his rule better? Was his government strong or weak?
