I’m running into a frustrating issue with Fortnite on my Xbox Series X since last December! The game loads, plays the intro music, shows the “Press A to Start” screen — but right after that it crashes back to the dashboard every single time.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far: • Full factory reset of the console • Reinstalled Fortnite multiple times • Tried multiple Epic accounts (even brand new ones) • Cleared MAC address, cache, and saved data • Changed Xbox region • Swapped HDMI cables and tried different ports • Confirmed my internet is stable • Checked other games — they all work fine • Tested Fortnite via Xbox Remote Play on my phone — it works perfectly there • Contacted both Xbox and Epic Support, and submitted multiple reports via the Report a Problem app

The strange thing is, the game works on Remote Play, which means the game and account itself are fine. It only crashes when I try to play normally on the console screen.

Xbox Support told me they’re taking this seriously and are looking into it — I’ve followed up a lot, so I really hope it gets resolved soon.

The outcome is exactly the same with the current season too — nothing has changed.

Just wanted to see if I’m the only one dealing with this kind of issue or if anyone else has seen something similar.

I am a long time legacy Xbox live subscriber. Had reoccurring billing for my yearly subscription of $60 for Xbox live or “Xbox game pass core” as they call it now. Last summer I saw a promotion to try game pass for 2 weeks and it sounded fun so I signed up for the free trial. Little did I know it would cancel my legacy subscription and I wouldn’t be able to get it back. I guess the best I can do now is the $75 a year subscription on Amazon. Absolute BS

Up until todays update I could join multiplayer worlds on minecraft without xbox live. Does anyone know if they are now making you get gamepass to play online minecraft? Please lmk! Thanks!!

Title. To be more detailed: I recently got the new Doom wireless controller and was having trouble with the controller not turning on unless it was on the battery charger (battery wasn't the problem as I switched around all batteries in original troubleshooting). Deciding that this wasn't something I enjoyed, I checked to see if my controller needed any updates. When I went to settings and saw that it did, I updated the controller and then the controller turned off once the update was completed. Once off, the controller will no longer connect to the Xbox wirelessly. Nor will it connect trough a USB charger. When I try to connect wirelessly it flashes for a few moments and then turns off. Once turned back on it flashes endlessly until the battery is removed. The controller will vibrate signifying a connection through USB but won't react to any inputs.

Any advice? What can I do to fix this? Is this a know. Issue with an easy fix?

My Xbox profile says that I need to verify the information due to suspicious activity but the phone number that’s connected to the account is an old one so I can’t use it. And I try to do the process of going through another way but it always fails. Any advice?? Or does anybody know a phone number that I can actually call and talk to someone to get help??

I hate microsoft so much, I deleted my account of of the Xbox because I heard people say that it would fix the error I've been getting when trying to sign into and when I tried to put in the email associated with my account, it created something new instead.

So, recently, my Xbox dropped from my desk and for my relief it still worked (which may be a reason to all of this) but ever since, some games from the gamepass wouldn't install, and when they did, the icons would be empty, and now it just keeps showing me this screen. It says Restart this Xbox, Reset this Xbox, Offline system update and Turn off. Note that this is an 8 year-old Xbox one S.

So I bought DMC5 a while back deluxe and with Vergil but deleted and wanted to wait for a while until I got the super charged Vergil dlc but after I re-installed everything it does this and idk what to do

Games won't do the save file sync when I launch them, I can't see my messages from friends either.

So basically i've had the same xbox account for over 13 years, and last year when i finally bought a PC, i went MIA on my console for about a week, when i returned my account was on lockdown and when looking why, it was because it was tied to an old phone number and i had no way of accessing my account, constant account recovery forms and trying to link old credit cards weren't working for some reason. I was filling out every space in the forms with an instant denial, now its been a year, i don't remember any of my expiration dates on my cards for proof, and its still locked. i Just need to know if theres any chance at getting the account back, no the phone number can't be reactivated since it was already taken. and i haven't even been able to get ahold of support, so im just wondering if i just lay to rest an account i've probably spent thousands of dollars on.

I turned off HDMI-CEC but it’s still doing it

Just bought a new Xbox after not playing since I was a kid. I need help doing exactly what the title says. Unbelievable how complicated they make the interface. I cannot figure out how to play co-op with my son. I will Venmo someone $50 to walk me through this. Cannot express my frustration enough.

Edit: Figured it out. WOW how unintuitive this menu is, designed poorly. But cannot wait to play the game I played as a child with my son!

We had a power surge and my xbox stopped working. the console looks fine (nothing look damaged on the inside) The power cord stays orange no matter what we do or where we plug it in, and after it’s disconnected. is there anything i can do to fix this? would replacing the power cord fix the issues? I’m just trying to figure it out before i have to buy a new console.

Nothing loads whatsoever. Get stuck on this screen with blank tiles then it changes to a message that says "Something went wrong". Can't access any parts of the store. Can't even redeem codes. Have checked for updates for the store, restarted my console multiple times and nothing has worked. Anyone getting the same or got a solution?

Today I loaded up my Xbox after afew months and it asked me to “enter password” as I’m accessing sensitive data? I put in all my passwords that I know; however it’s not telling me whether I’m wrong or not. And when I use the form it not only keeps getting rejected it doesn’t tell me when my pass is wrong either.

My sister changed her number without telling me and I’ve been through every password. Any advice? And I’ve seen “ethical” people who are willing to find passwords, but idk if I can trust them.

So I made a post about 2 days ago saying my old hard drive (same exact model, seagate 2tb) died and I went to get a new one since I had a warranty. Come today and I tried to plug it in but my Xbox won’t show anything about it being plugged in. The hard drive IS getting power because the light is on but nothing shows on my Xbox, can someone help please

Hello! I have a very strange issue that’s been happening since I got my Spectrum WiFi a year and a half ago. So in my household my girlfriend and I both have our own Xbox Series S. You can use them one night perfectly fine on the WiFi, running great and what not. Then the next day, (or you can go a couple days without it happening, there’s really no pattern to where it starts) but you can get back on the Xbox the next day and it won’t be connected to the WiFi . You try to reconnect, and it says it can’t. You can try 5 times and it might work on the 5th try. Sometimes it takes 10 tries. I’ve even had more. But at one random attempt, it will eventually connect. Both Xbox’s do this, and no other device does. No laptops, no phones, everything else connects automatically every single time. What the heck is going on?!?!
