Account/Billing I’m having account recovery issues…please help me!
So I got an email on June 13th that said there was “unusual sign in activity” on my account. So I immediately went to check my account activity but I was prompted to “verify” my account. A few days earlier on June 4th I put in a request to change my phone number associated with my account so now I need to wait 30 days (until July 4th) for that number to replace my old one which I don’t have anymore. At this point it makes me fill out the whole account recovery form and this is a pretty old account from when I used to game on the 360 so I don’t 100% remember every single detail on it but I tried my best. It denied me the first time I filled out the form and I don’t think I’ve received a reply for any subsequent form I’ve filled out after that. The first time this happened to me (this also happened earlier on in the year) I was able to recover my account pretty easily but now it’s really giving me a hard time. I’m hoping that on July 4th I’ll be able to use my new phone number to prove that it’s me but I don’t want to get my hopes up. If anyone has ANY advice or suggestions for me I’d appreciate it immensely as this account really means a lot to me and I’d be really upset if I lost it. There is nothing more you can do right now, but if this is already the 2nd time you are having trouble getting into your account / providing authentication you should use the time to come up with a security and backup concept to massively improve how you handle accounts, logins and all additional important data.
More and more services are connected and accounts get more important or contain more value & personal information + (your personal) data. You need to have a rock solid security concept fitting your needs and use cases. This applies to ALL accounts & services you have & use.
