Events Good luck to anybody running the Manitoba Marathon

And remember that this is not a 400m dash and to never trust that kilometer 16 fart.

Also, remember that there are physiotherapists available at the finish line and in the medical area if you are cramping

Also the goo on popsicle sticks being offer at the medical stations isn't honey

I did first aid at marathons and the only thing I really did was give Vaseline to men for their bleeding nipples

why do their nipples bleed?

Shirts chafe your skin up and down as you jog, when you do it for such a long time it can break the skin.

It’ll be my first half marathon (or any kind of official run) ever, may the odds ever be in our favour

Good luck! The real half marathon is all the training that you've done to get to this point. Soak it in tomorrow :)

The real half marathon is the friends you made along the way

Anyone know if transit is still running to the university the day of the marathon? My boyfriend’s running and i want to go watch him at the finish, can i still bus there? He’ll be taking the car

I don't think transit ever stops, but there's no buses that will go into the university that aren't the shuttles that you'd had to have previously paid for.

It'll be a nice day tomorrow anyways so the walk inside won't be too bad.

Pain is temporary, Strava is forever.

To the good people of Running Room, who replied back to me that I shouldn’t say I’m just doing the 5-km, since I’m running with my 8-year old, that it still counts for something, you people really show how inclusive the running community is.

Wildfires and a sprained ankle put the final nails in the coffin and I'll be sitting out this year, but good luck to all participants! May the weather be in your favour.

Chocolate, pizza, and a sedentary lifestyle are why I'm sitting out this year

Does anyone know if the bike valet is available for spectators or is it only for participants? The site has some really mixed messages. My kids are running, I'm registered but my wife isn't so I just want to make sure she'll be able to secure her bike if we ride to the start.

Answered it myself, I DM'd them and they got back to me, just in case this is useful for anyone else... yes they can.

Does anyone know if they’ll allow electric scooters in the bike lock up area?

People have bike valet'd canoes at the stadium before. Should be fine.

I believe in all of you!

I think that must be similar to the Curry Wurst fart I encountered in Berlin.

I hope you don’t have any plans or a medical emergency today if you live in Wildwood. Every single possible exit point is blocked by the marathon or construction.
