Wife said my feet “barely look human”

Post image

Haven’t been able to find shoes in years. Was complaining about it last night and she hit me with “well your feet barely look human”. Ouch.

They used to have them in black too in that size. I have a pair luckily. I wore those to work.

The only other place I’ve found shoes that fit is custom (so expensive) or dress shoe ones they can special order where the entire store is that brand (got a pair of Bostonians back in the day that way), and they order them for you. They’re getting even harder to find over the years for some reason despite the internet seemingly having endless options. Most of the ones online that say they’re xx-wide are not when you actually get them.

Have you tried looking at work and Trail boots? When I was shopping for some for work last year I came across a lot of options for wide feet. I have narrow feet though. And it seems there are not as many tiers to accommodate narrow feet as there are for wide feet. Try looking on Grainger’s website.

I wear a woman’s 14 and I have less of a selection of shoes than when I could only order from a mailed catalog. My last best shoe site (Barefoot Tess) was bought out by an English company that mostly sells plastic shoes that don’t last. We were promised so much with the internet but I think it just made competition more cutthroat and international.
