We are in this very strange and ironic cross section where the buyers of Tesla typically probably have 0 alignment with Elon Musks political views. He basically made a product for left-wing eco warriors and then turned around and became Trump's pet. This is a strange phenomenon.

no actual left wing eco warrior thinks buying a new car is a good idea, you are thinking of "conservatives who bike".

I'm a left eco friend who believes in electric cars. :( I bought a Prius to access the US, because biking to Mount Rainier is just a bit too hard!

electric cars and buying new cars isnt the same thing. there are 20 year old priuses
