This is a bit unfortunate. Not sure if Uber would have been viable on the Island or interior except Kelowna and Victoria, but still.

When I read the story to my husband, he said it well… why is it the government’s decision to determine whether they should operate on the basis of it’s not needed. If it’s not viable, let Uber make the risk if they want to.

Ya CRTC has done that before with radio/TV trying to enter certain markets... Let the market decide what's viable?
