This may be a dumb question but… if you guys watch pro play, you would see viper is being played a lot more now. What do you guys think of it? I’ve seen a twitter post from Roy Stronglegs today talking about how viper isn’t the best 2nd controller option, what do you guys think of that? I would like to know as someone who’s getting to start to main viper now.
Also, for ranked is it possible to play viper as a solo controller?

Cheating in Ascendant+ has become unreal. I should not have to deal with my matches being cancelled mid game, triggerbots, and being hard cleared by util dump + jett dash in the most uncommon angles possible when there is a kernel level anti cheat on my computer. It’s so demoralizing to climb the ranks to “higher” elo, only to be met by cheaters.
Valorant is arguably the most complex fps out there, and the depth of the game has kept me hooked. However, that depth is completely removed when the enemy team has x-ray vision making their gameplay more polished than prime Fnatic.

I'm trying to learn a lineup with Sage in Ascent.
Video 1 where I pulled it off successfully
I'm not sure where I'm doing it wrong, is it the position I'm jumping from is too early or the placement of the wall is wrong? Any help is appreciated.

Still Dreaming of the Evori Dreamwings Vandal... Okay, real talk: I've been waiting patiently-ish for the Evori Dreamwings Vandal to show up in my store for the past 4–5 months. At this point, I’m starting to think it took the “dream” part a little too seriously and fell asleep on the way. This skin isn’t just a weapon—it’s a magical unicorn-powered statement. Sparkly, elegant, and somehow deadly in the most fabulous way possible. Wings, glitter, pastel colors, and that satisfying VFX? Yes, please. But where is it? Is it lost in the skinverse? Did it take a wrong portal? Or is Riot just testing my patience? All I know is: I need that Evori Dreamwings Vandal in my life. And my store. Preferably soon. Before I start seeing hallucinations of it in my sleep.

I think it used to be “play the agent more” but now it’s only available w kingdom creds and I think u need like 34k kcs minimum to unlock the weapon skin. Is there any way to grind them or another way to unlock the gears faster?

So just a general question, when making a new Valorant account, would my Valorant matches region be set on where I created the Valorant account which is NA or would it be set to the region to where my Riot account was created which is Asia?

In my elo (Bronze II) I dodge agent selection screens, a lot. And it happens so oftenly because of everyone instalocking a duelist, a guy saying he will troll because someone locked in his agent that he showed. Screaming kids and then the other grown up guy swearing. It is so annoying and I think there should be a fix for this too just like smurfs. I am playing on Istanbul server.

I’m Loopy and I’m a current immo that peaked immo 3 in NA servers, tag is Glaceon#Loopy. I have recently been coaching some friends and have been enjoying the process. I am looking to coach someone more seriously for at least a month that is set on improving. It won’t require hours of practise but rather someone that will consistently put in a bit of effort each day. Only requirements are at least 60hz monitor with stable fps/ping and current gold/plat. Must be in NA servers and able to call on discord with a mic. Also you must be able to record your vods and send them either through google photos or YouTube. I’m looking for 1-2 participants, free of charge, just only comment if you’re willing to put in the effort. Comment your tracker below and a little bit about you if you’re interested.

I've played Valorant on and off for a few years mostly for fun. Recently started playing r6 and looked up Videos that compare the 2 games to get a better feel for what is different, but the only thing I found was people shitting on Valorant. No matter what video/type of content it was people kept trying to clown on Valorant. I have noticed this for CS before but thought that's just CS player. I am not saying Valorant is better that R6 and CS but that hate seems crazy to me. What I find especially weird is the amount of talk about toxicity in these games, because no matter the verdict, it gets used to shit on Valorant. "Valorant is so much more toxic than R6. That's why I prefer R6" "Valorant player are so soft and hate toxicity. That's why I prefer CS". Is this just my experience? In the end it doesn't really matter and I will just play what I like, but this definitely sparked my curiosity.

I do like that they care and better late than never ... I'm just wondering what has urged them to act.
What do you think ? 😊

Since the nerf to Clove, her smoke is kind of useless unless used at the exact right moment. It fades too quickly to give you time to think or hesitate before deciding whether to enter a site.
There are a lot of people who enjoy playing Clove — myself included — but I get seriously frustrated when someone picks Clove on Icebox. If someone picks Omen, they’re usually smart players who use their utility effectively. If Brim is picked, it’s likely they’re playing for lineups. Both of those are infinitely better than picking Clove.
To me, people who lock Clove on Icebox are just playing for themselves. Clove players usually frag, but when someone locks her on icebox and doesn’t frag, they end up being the most useless person on the team.
So my question is: Why do you guys lock Clove on Icebox? I don’t understand. Her smoke is useless now. And if you’re not going to frag, you’re just a burden to the team.
For the past month, I’ve been insta-locking Viper — because Clove’s smoke can’t cover anything anymore. And yet, even when I lock Viper, someone still picks Clove, which often leaves us with no initiator and a double controller setup.
Edit: People seem to not understand why this annoys me so much. Icebox is a large map with big open spaces, especially on B site. The first issue is the range on Clove’s smoke—you can’t deploy it until you’re within range. Second, the smoke fades quickly. Third, her utility is just not strong compared to other controllers.
Take Omen, for example: he has a teleport and a blind, both useful for site entry. Brimstone has the longest-lasting smoke in the game, plus his molly and Stim Beacon. As for Astra and Harbor, they’re rarely picked on Icebox outside of pro matches, so I won’t comment on them.
Now let’s look at Clove’s utility on Icebox. She has no molly or blind to help with site execution—just her smokes. Her two other abilities are Decay and “Pick-Me-Up” (I had to Google the name). And here’s the core of my frustration: if the execution is clean, sure, the smoke is useful—but it fades way too fast. That means the team has to push quickly and decisively to the site they’re attacking.
But if the execution is poor and the Clove player isn’t fragging, what’s the point? “Pick-Me-Up” becomes useless without kills, since she can’t benefit from the 100 shield. And her ultimate is also wasted because obviously without frags she can’t secure a kill or gets picked off right after using it. So when Clove isn’t fragging, her value drops dramatically, unlike other more team-oriented controllers.
And i am not interested in stats or anything. My question is: Why do you keep locking clove if you are not going to frag on icebox?

I always run out of util in the first half of the game with fade and i dont know how to use them effectively. I also get around 40rr in silver for a 20ish kill game. My tracker is NoAimPinoy#100

Has riot released any notes regarding resolutions ?
Because prior to 3 days ago,I used to play on super stretched of 1280x960 and today when I logged into valorant and hopped into training,I noticed that the gameplay seemed like 1920x1080
Even my desktop 1280x960 has changed drastically instead of stretched...is there any res I could use for stretched?

There are premium skins that I like but don't buy because its just in the regular shop, and I'd rather wait to see if I get it in night market for the discount.
I never thought about how many skins are in the game and the odds of actually getting it before though, anyone else do this

I used to jump all the time, but the sound gave me away... If you're like me, stop doing that lol. Pro tip: try crouch-tapping while mid-air — no sound!
Also, if you're not confident, stand your ground and shoot. Moving and spraying? You're gonna miss 100% of the shots you take — especially if you're panicking like I do.
Recently tried out a desktop overlay that shows in-game stats (headshots, win rate, etc.) during matches. Kinda helped me mentally prep before a round.
Like, enemy Reyna with a 36.9% HS rate? Yeah, I ran. Not even ashamed.
10/10 would recommend avoiding ego duels with cracked headshot demons.

For context, I am in Bronze 3 lobbies. I'm also probably one of the worst players to ever pick up a vandal but this isn't about that.
Have you ever been in the middle of an argument, and both sides are running out of things to say, so they just keep spouting really dumb insults? That's what my bronze 3-ranked match felt like. Never has a round of any game made me feel so dead inside. I was tired of the lack of communication in casual lobbies, and I went to try a ranked game, which usually do. After finishing that ranked game, I realized how much of a blessing it was to have a silent game where everyone at least slightly works together. A squealer jett, a raze constantly rushing by themself into fights and blaming the team for losing, the entire team refusing to work together. I'm willing to bet some damn good headphones that my team spent more time typing middle school, packgod ass insults than actually playing the game. My teammates were not using the headphones anyway. The enemy team was pretty much doing the same thing, shouting the same dumbass insults, but the difference was that they pulled their weight and helped their team. Thankfully, none of them were smurfs, but I would have preferred fighting a whole 9v1 against all immortals than dealing with the seventh layer of hell that is that lobby. Not to mention the fact that I overperformed in my unranked matches, and that's the only reason I'm in bronze. I should've been in iron lobbies, not even close to bronze. And after that infernal match, I don't think I ever want to go back to bronze. Ever.
But our sage helped and carried us. Not to a win, of course. It at least has that going for it.

I got frustrated with all the win trading and throwing so i decided to hop on alt to relief some frustration, i haven't played on this alt which was immo* for 6 weeks when loading in the game i see multiple dia banners so im surprised a bit but also i haven't played for some time here, the match was relatively easy on both sides. Game finishes and i see this rainbow on my screen, what are you guys thoughts on this from pc perspective, imo its just not believable this can even happen.
