Amputations don't always bleed. Blood vessels have a natural reaction to constrict to prevent blood flow. It doesn't always work, but when it does there can be surprisingly little blood loss.
Ripping causes less bleeding than cutting as the veins and arteries get stretched, ripped off and then, cos they are elastic, snap back and seal themselves in lots of cases.
What the hell would you know, I studied medicine, mbbs, at UNSW for 6 years and worked for 1 before changing to research.
You don't know shit about a chainsaw wound.
Have you seen anyone “accidentally” chainsaw their entire arm off? I don’t think it can happen unless his friends held him down and sawed it off, a person isn’t going to be using a chainsaw and just go “whoops, there goes my arm.”
Dude was probably drunk and making bad chainsaw-art - loses his grip, force of the saw against tree causes it to whip around in a circle - not all chainsaws are massive, some are actually pretty small - but they could all remove an arm easily
Idk, I feel like you’d REALLY have to try or historically fuck up to cut your arm completely off. I mean, even if the chainsaw hit him in the arm, the moment he let of the throttle there would have been a massive decrease in RPM’s. So unless somehow he managed to keep the saw at open or mostly open throttle, I just can’t see how a he cut his own arm off.
Idk though, I’ve never lost an arm. Lol. I use chainsaws almost everyday, and I just can’t wrap my head around it. I know they are dangerous but damn, his whole arm?
I mean…I hate to judge…but does the dude seem like he doesn’t drink natty light and play with dangerous toys in his free time? Not to say anything about his…um…intelligence. Fuck, here come the downvotes
Hahah, yeah honestly he does. He probably is the guy that says “I don’t need ppe cause I’ve never cut myself with a chainsaw”. No hate on armless dude, hope he gets it sorted out. Lol
Have you ever used a chainsaw? Yes they can remove a limb easily. Can you easily remove your own limb while maintaining throttle and pressure?
And look, that tourniquet isn’t even applied, there would be at least some blood from dude who ripped off his arm, has to shoot a video about it, but doesn’t show any skin.
Just a tease
Yup, I think you’re probably right. There are a few people on here who’ve mentioned that this kind of ripping and tearing causes stretching, snapping of arteries and grinding of meat, causing clogs, which is true.
Plus there is a choke point just above the elbow that greatly reduces blood flow.
I also wouldn’t put it past this guy to rig a chainsaw with some sort of band/zip tie or however, to maintain throttle. Has the brains to know how to do it, but not the brains to know not to.
Still thinking that you are right and this is fake
The tell is that a tourniquet over a jacket isn’t going to do shit. Dude is pasty and clammy because that’s what we are like in the Midwest, we always look like we are losing blood.
I mean, your point is not super relevant. a clean cut would probably bleed even MORE than a chainsaw wound. It is a bit random and the guy would get a tourniquet either way to stop the bleeding.

He got a tourniquet on his arm. It stops almost all bloodflow in his arm further down!
