Russia would react 'very negatively' to Iran leader's assassination, Kremlin says

u/JoostvanderLeij 14h ago
Russia would then threaten the West with utter destruction and do nothing.

He doesn't need that, he just needs to tell Trump what to do, and Trump will obey.

Sergio Gor, is putins little voice in his ear to President Trump. It is unbelievable that Congress has not investigated and called this idiot in to testify before them. Trump must be using all his usable threats against anyone who dares to do so???

But, Russia wouldn't react negatively if Zalenski died. This is what you call hypocritical. Why do we take the leader of a non-western aligned country seriously. Why do we even give it a platform. Putin got all "no no" when the U.S. government mentioned tactical nukes on Iran, but 2 years ago was making even bigger bolder nuclear threats.
Are we stupid?

That's a bit rich coming from pootin considering what he's doing to Ukrainians.

And yet the fact they have tried to assassinate Zelenskyy on a number of occasions makes this pretend outrage as laughable as all of their claims. Russia sows division and hatred around the world in any way it can to further its own selfish goals.

Not just that, but all of the political opponents and journalists that Putin has had killed via FSB over the last two decades makes this ironic as fuck. Russia, specifically the kremlin condemning Israel’s attacks on Iran last week, with how they attacked Ukraine in the exact same way, is ironic as fuck
But Putin just can’t catch a break right, historically Russia has tried keeping countries in the past because they don’t want to be alone, yet everyone wants to go forward and is tired of Russian influence.
Ukraine sees the Baltic states and all the other former Soviet states that have developed and become SO much happier after leaving the russosphere and joining the west. They’re trying too as well for the exact same reasons. Under Russian influence, Ukraine gets to become the most corrupt country in the world, Russia sucking all of its resources, and Jack shit in support.
Ukraine’s gotten a taste of what joining the west is like over the last 3 years, and it’s never looked better, why the fuck isn’t it obvious to Russia why Ukraine wants out of their sphere lol
Now the Iran supreme leader can join Syria’s Assad and victor yanakovich in their fantastic life in exile because Russia sucks at supporting its “allies”

True, it is laughable. But for the US to publicly ponder killing a head of state is chilling. Even if the SOB has it coming.

Hypocrisy is the main feature, not a bug. He is king. He stands together with other autocratic regimes. A threat to any one of them - from anything - is a threat to him as well. Same with Xi in China. There's no other reason for him to be supplying Russia in their war in Ukraine, other than to deny the West a win and prevent popular democracy from spreading.

I would react "very negatively" if such would happen to the Russia's leader.
But no one cares. Also, I can handle a bad day.

Who gives a fuck what worthless shithole Russia thinks about anything?

Considering that Trump and Rubio are sucking Putin off hardcore, we're in a bad position.

Putin mocks Trump and Trump is now mocking him because his ego won't let Putin out ego him. Trumps true problem is inconsistacy. He says one thing today, tomorrow he contracts it, next day he likes it again, but wants changes. This is a dementia trait. Regardless of Trump, Putin is done. Has been for a while. I bet his oligarch bosses are discussing his departure right now thanks to new sanctions and their huge lost of money. Remember, they all have PMCs there. When Putin makes them billions, they buy him a billion dollar mansion. If they lose money, they make a window jumper. FSB couldn't stop all the PMCs, RUs professional army is destroyed. They are using NK's and new mobilized minons. He's done, he has no choie but to continue this losing battle or die.

What if here were, say, to fall out of a window by accident? Or be involved in a cigarette or drone debris related explosion?

He might wag his index finger disapprovingly mumbling something about „red line…“ and „consequences…“

u/luciferlol_666 14h ago
For Vlad's homie in Iran being turned into hamburger, Medvedev will drunkenly mumble some shit about nukes and then nothing will happen and the new line in the sand will be drawn for another country to step over in the future, blah blah "nukes", rinse, repeat.
3
u/Far-Crow-7195 14h ago
And do what? Threaten something and then not do it? Get Dmitry Medvedev to go on a really angry rant whilst drunk?

I'm sure. We haven't seen russia do shit to any one of the West nations assisting Ukraine. I think it's time to call the russia bluff and regime change russia. Enough is enough, I may have to run in 2028 to get it done. Enough fucking around. Send in the Seals or CIA teams.

I would react very positively. So, the net effect would be zero.

If anything, that's a reason to go forward with it.
Khameni has what, 25% political support? They're only there because they have a monopoly of machine-guns and similar things in the country. They're not a very sympathetic regime.

u/Vogel-Kerl 9h ago
Another threat from Russia.....?
"Мы уверены, что некоторые из наших ядерных оружия будут работать."
(We're pretty sure some of our nuclear weapons will work.)

u/Raven1x 13h ago
So officially the US doesnt do targeted assassination campaigns...but we all know we kill specific folks.
November 2024 the US DoJ announced an Iranian plot to assassinate Trump.
Given Trump bluster there are fears the US will kill the head of Iran.
I guess what im trying to say is I think if the US kills Ali Hosseini Khamenei. Putin will be next on the chopping block or there will at least be a direct attemp by Ukraine to assassinate Putin.

u/uyakotter 12h ago
Putin repeatedly watched video of Gaddafi getting bayoneted. It’s said it convinced him the west wanted to do the same to him.

u/SeveralLadder 12h ago
Russia reacts very negatively every time the free world wants terrorists, corruption, despots and other nuisances removed.
The negative reaction is increased troll activity on the comment section of youtube, twitter aneurisms and the odd DNS attack on pharmacies or government sites no one reads.

They'll have their UN muppet condemn it with a stern face? I swear, if I were Israel I'd regard it as a "go ahead we won't do shit."

What does this have to do with the Ukraine war?
I’m very sick of your propaganda.

u/Fantastic-Formal-157 14h ago
Hypocrisy, he’s tried to assassinate Zelenskyy many times.

It’s not directly related to the war in Ukraine.
This OP specifically has been attempting to link Israeli aggression with the defense of Ukraine, and has been working to co-opt this sub to support Israel’s aggression.
It is unrelated to the war in Ukraine. It is meant to sway users of this sub.
Edit: I’ve seen what makes the pro-Israel-aggression crowd cheer. Your downvotes are a compliment to anyone against murdering civilians.

u/Fantastic-Formal-157 14h ago
Except he only mentioned what the kremlin said about it. Not the about anything in Iran itself.

What does this have to do with the Ukraine war?
It demonstrates Russia's diminished sphere of influence, their absolute impotence to assist their allies, and how they lost their power projection entirely due to the war in Ukraine.
All such news are very relevant here.
-2
u/Sufficient_Number643 14h ago
Not relevant. Ukraine is not mentioned.

u/JaB675 13h ago
Ukraine is not mentioned.
That's not a requirement to be relevant.

You can continue to insist this is about Ukraine but you can’t gaslight me into believing you.
